Lake Shkodra Resort is an Albanian and English owned holiday resort with camp site and accommodation, situated directly on the beautiful Lake Shkodra. We are 7km from Shkoder city center, 24km from Montenegro and on-route to the popular destinations of Vermosh and Thethi in the Albanian Alps. The grounds are 22,000 square meters in size and include a private sandy beach with direct access into the lake and a beach front restaurant and bar. Free on-site facilities for guests include; Wi-Fi, sun beds & umbrellas, children's play area, table tennis, darts and drinking water. Canoe and mountain bike hire are available. We have an on-site shop with all the essentials. Trips and overnight stays available to Thethi, Valbona, Lake Koman and Shkoder.

Reviewed By rychm2015Beautiful place, very nice stuff. Unfortunately first night we spent on the outside field because of lack of space inside. Next night we got beautiful shaded pitch. Nice please to stay for few calm nights. During the day you can hide from sun under the vine.

Tradita Geg & Tosk Hotel and Restaurant, is located in Shkodra city. It is an old traditional house dating 1694, a nice traditional place, surrounded by an ethnography which Mr. Gjon Dukgilaj successfully transformed into a restaurant and hotel. Built with typical elements such as stones and wood, the interior is furnished, decorated with the old authentic objects and traditional costumes from the area. Seasonally the owner transforms the complex into a museum in order for the clients to enjoy the Albanian culture atmosphere.

Reviewed By PelourinhoBeautiful old buildings and characterful rooms quite near the beautiful city centre. We stayed for five nights and had a fabolous time in the city. As for the hotel we had a few issues. While full of character and charm, it is somewhat unpractical. No fridge, no good chairs in the room, non-functioning balcony (no chairs or table, dead potted palmetre), sometimes cold water in the run-down shower room. Seemed like the whole place need a little TLC. Breakfast was just acceptable. Some items looked like they had been recirculated….. As for the restaurant I will comment on that later.

Reviewed By tiralbWe visited as a group of five persons - three adults and two children. The resort was easy to find, with a very clear sign on the paved part of the road from Koplik to Theth. The staff at the hotel was excellent - all very friendly and professional. Even the dogs hanging out in the campground were extraordinarily friendly. The grounds were spacious and had plenty of room for children to play. The rooms were simple, but clean. They also were quite inexpensive - for the price, it is hard to imagine anything better. The bathrooms were functional, with sufficient hot water and an excellent shower. I would have liked an actual toilet seat, but otherwise all basic needs were met. I would recommend, nonetheless, that all glass have some kind of curtains. While the glass in the door certainly allowed for sufficient privacy, my room was not very dark at night due to the various lights outside. Our sleep also was interrupted by some very drunk fellow guests "singing" around a campfire until about 3 a.m. These, however, would be difficult for the staff to manage. Food in the restaurant was basic but good by the standards of the area. The meat and vegetables were all very fresh. I should mention that there are spectacular views of the Albanian mountains from various parts of the resort, especially from the main building's upper floors. For the excellent staff, magnificent views and very reasonable prices, I would recommend staying at this resort.

Located in the very centre of Velipoja, just a few steps from the beach, Hotel Valz offers modernly furnished rooms and an outdoor pool. The town beaches can be reached in just a few steps. The Main Bus Station is 100 metres away, while the nearest airport is in Tirana, 100 km from Hotel Valz.

Reviewed By VeganlyfeRooms were clean and nice. Breakfast was good and the food in the restaurant in general. But the most amazing thing in this place was truly the service! The staff was extra friendly, and went out of their way to make everything easy and comfortable for us! For example one of the owners drove us from our first hotel to Valz so we wouldn't have to walk with our luggage! Every one working in this hotel is an amazing person. They made the atmosphere so friendly that all the customers also said hello to us. There is no better place to spend your holiday than in hotel Valz ❤

Le point négatif : nourriture trop chère au bar, pas beaucoup de toboggans pour l’espace qu’il y a (4 toboggans a sensation) puis des toboggans enfant. Tu t’ennuie assez vite ici..

Reviewed By bruceaneGot in after dark after deciding at the last minute to drive a bit further and were majorly lucky to stumble onto this lovely new hotel, only a 5 minute walk from the city center. Rooms were new, clean, well-furnished, quiet (almost all rooms face the courtyard), and beds extremely comfy. Desk clerk Giovanni was a terrific source of information and the entire staff was friendly. Breakfasts among the best in Albania. Incredible value and we extended our stay 2 nights since we enjoyed both the hotel and Shkodra's accessibility to so many sights

Reviewed By loveiseveryoneThe staff and management took care of us in a very personal way and it was sad leaving after such a pleasurable time there. The food was plentiful, healthy and fresh. Every need was accommodated for. Drinks were cheap and the beer was beautifully cold! The pool is lovely and the surrounding is pretty. Music is played throughout. Rooms had everything we needed, were cleaned to an exceptional standard and the hotel was very secure. Beach and restaurants are a 5-10 min walk away and, again, everyone is extremely friendly. Pros: Everything Cons: Please play less Ed Sheeran! To the excellent staff and management- Faleminderit! I have already recommended Hotel Athina to family and friends. 100% Recommend

The staff were friendly, helpful and sweet. Breakfast was included and had a nice variety of hot and cold items, sweet and savory items, and juices and coffee. Thanks for your hospitality!

clean, modern but......
Reviewed By Robert Hyou are right next to a mosque. You will get a wake up call at 5am when the "singing" or "prayers" are announced over the loud speakers. My door lock failed so when I tried to leave, the door would not lock. I complained to the front desk and someone was on the repair. The shower is not water tight so the floor towel was soaking wet when I got out of the shower. You do get breakfast which is suppose to be served at 7am. I showed up at 7am but I was told ten more minutes. I came back and they were still not ready. I grabbed whatever was available. The pastries were finally put out at 7:30am. I should have given a lower score but I am taking into consideration that I am Albania; not in the US. The room is in a shape of a piece of pie due to the circular design, It is narrow at the door and it gets wider as you approach the window. The place is well kept.

Reviewed By Barron70Nice small hotel with lovely peaceful garden. The staff we dealt with were really friendly and helpful and booked our trip to Valbone with no fuss. The hotel is about 7-8 minutes from the town centre and is in a nice quiet location. Good breakfast served in the garden. Bliss! Comfortable room with kettle and good shower. We stayed a second night when we returned to Shkoder and very much hope to stay again some time in future!
