Starved to death, significant lack of hospitality
Reviewed By Eleni VI stayed at Safir Hotel Casino for three nights from 26 till 28 August 2018 traveling with a tourist group. The meals offered were breakfast and dinner. Breakfast included the poorest buffet I have ever seen, it wasn't refiiled, so the 43 visitors of our group would move around with an empty plate like beggars waiting for the service staff to bring food. Dinner was even worse, we were served tiny portions of low quality food, salad would hardly fill three forks, pasta was cold, the main dish would be one tiny thin slice of meat and two spoonfuls of rice or mashed potatoes without any dressing and for "dessert" we were brought an apple each. At our table we were six people and we were brought five apples!. Our tour guide complained, so for our last dinner, we were served a tiny piece of cherry pie, bought from the nearest supermarket, clearly not homemade. Service was absolutely unacceptable, the staff obviously needs additional training, they weren't at all hospitable, they wouldn't respond or smile. Once we had schnitzel for dinner which was so dry without any dressing, so we asked for some lemons and mustard which never came. Every time we had pasta before salad, so we asked twice for a little cheese to go with, never came. The casino was in fact a small room with electronic slots and indifferent staff. The hotel is situated 200 metres from the Slovenian-Italian borders, the town is 1km away, we were in the middle of nowhere, no shops or pizzerias to fulfil our hunger from the poor dinner. Rooms were very spacious though, clean, comfortable, soundproof, fresh sheets, pillows and towels, big closet, enough space. There is a beauty spa hosted into the hotel, but the services were paid extra and it would close at 8 pm. There was no bar at the small lounge area. Overall, I found my stay at the Safir Casino hotel most unpleasant, trapped in a deserted area with poor food, bad service and unwelcoming staff.

Very satisfying
Reviewed By Mateja CI stayed at their suita. Very spaceous, clean, Kolpa san and Grohe equpement in the bathroom. The bed is high and very comfortable. There were two televisions, two balconies, a shower and a a bathtube, two toiletseats... and "of course" an electronic fireplace. Breakfast was delicious. They prepare fresh omlets, fried eggs or whatever you want. The staff is also very friendly.

Bed & breakfast nataly 3* offers 17 rooms, which are mostly double rooms. Two rooms have an extra bed. Some of them have a fully equipped kitchen, and some are built as apartment-type suites (with a separating door between the rooms). All rooms have their own bathroom (shower, hairdryer) and are equipped with cable lcd tv, free air conditioning and free wi-fi. Check in times: 15.00h - 21.00h
Perfect for one night
Reviewed By lililaluWe enjoyed staying in this bed and breakfast for one night while visiting the region ( Trieste is only 20’ from Sezana). The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The staff was helpful and nice. I would recommend this place for one or two nights, depending on the visits you plan to do. I would also recommend a stop at the tourist office where the staff is very helpful and can advise you on activities to do in the area.

Guesthouse Pri Mihelovih is located near Skocjan caves and Lipica. We offer 3 rooms for two or three persons. In two rooms we have option of additional bed, so room is suitable for families.

Reviewed By JourneytimeSAWhat an amazing restaurant! Great food in a beautiful courtyard with dappled sunshine. Try the Jota - it's a local soup with potato cabbage beans turnips and sausage I think. It was beyond delicious. Also try the local wines - yummy.

The rooms are beautifully furnished and recently renovated. There is 37 rooms, all with private bathroom. Each room is equipped with TV and unlimited free Wi-Fi, a bathroom with shower and a hairdryer. Our staff is friendly and tries to satisfy the desires of guests.

Reviewed By Maks ŽVery clean rooms, tasty breakfasts, personnel very friendly and helpful, the location of this hotel is right on the border between Slovenia and Italy. There is nothing wrong with this hotel, so I really don't know why is their current grade so low. This is the only reason I am posting this review. Everything in this hotel is perfect!

A very special experience

The view was extraordinary and the breakfast was exceptional and plentiful - fruit, cereal, yoghurt, bread, prosciutto, cheese, eggs, delicious! Boyana was an amazing host, so friendly and warm and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was clean and spacious. We will definitely be back!
