Haus am Kurpark
Reviewed By Alan MA rather strange Hotel but nicely situated in a quiet residential area with easy parking. On arrival there was no staff at reception nor at any time of the evening I stayed there. The orange and yellow room (I did'nt take to the colour scheme) was clean and of a reasonable size, as was the bathroom. The big downside is that the Hotel is about 25 miles from the nearest Autobahn so does not suit for a one night stopover on a long journey through Germany. Schoemberg is a typically pleasant German town but we could find only one Hotel/Restaurant open on a Saturday night for dinner.

Very nice Hotel
Reviewed By Alfred RWe enjoyed our stay to rest up after a long and busy sight seeing vacation. The Spa was excellent. We liked it. We loved it. I don't know if I can make this 200 words or longer but I'll try to keep making words. We like the Schwartzwald region and the weather was beautiful and sunny. The view from our balcony was very nice. What more can I say, but I'll keep writing to make sure I have enough words for your survey.

There are plenty of great walks starting around the area.. best of all, when you come back, a delicious 5 course meal is awaiting you. Everything is of best quality. I will return as soon as I can. FAKE PHOTO and LOTS OS MOLD
Reviewed By S SDo NOT book this old, moldy hotel! The first photo shown here on Trip Advisor is NOT the hotel. The hotel is not in a pretty idyllic location. It is not half timbered wood. It actually overlooks a trailer park! We checked into this place chuckling at how kitschy and old school German it is...then we were asked to fill in a hotel guest form that asked for my "Christian" name and had a line for the hotelier to write "describing characteristics" of the guest!!! They claimed the government required the form and said not to worry about the line for "describing characteristics." After check in we went to our room and there was MOLD on the sheets and all over the bathroom. It looked like bleach had not touched the bathroom tiles in decades. The terrace is fenced in by rusted orange plastic and overlooks a dirty old trailer park! We handed back our key, told them about the mold and they didn't even flinch - they knew very well that they were scamming people. They refused to refund our money because we had "checked in". HOTEL CALIFORNIA! STAY FAR AWAY. The place should be condemned. It is disgusting. outdated, worn, moldy, and unfriendly. And their idyllic photos are not real! Don't be fooled!

Good cakes and ice creams
Reviewed By alkaithilWe stopped at Cafe Baier while driving around the Black Forest and even it was late for lunch we could eat something. We had frikadelle and bratswurt, not bad, and cake and ice cream for dessert, which were very good! Very kind service, helped us with the menu as we don't speak almost any German.
