I'm very fortunate to enjoy many great restaurants near my house in Naples, FL. On a resent trip to Germany I was lucky enough to find the Happy Rancho restaurant in Schleswig. The food and atmosphere was excellent. It meet and exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended.

This restaurant has a nice location next to a small river. But more interesting is the offered food. Here they offer next to typical steak types specialties like Bison.Price and Service are little bit high, but for this type of food completely acceptable.

We had booked an overnight stay on the way home and found this restaurant nearby.The service was very friendly and efficient, not sure if they speak English because I wanted to practice my German but very helpful.We enjoyed a simple but tasteful Entrecote and turkey with gorgonzola. It was a genuine good meal at a good price with a lovely view on top!The housewine is nice.Nothing fancy but nevertheless recommended for an honest and good meal.

The inside of the steakhouse could use a MEGA update. The decor is prob 20 years old, and can be slightly uncomfortable. In the summer, can recommend you sit outside, but beware - heavy smoking usually drifts across all tables. I still think this particular steak house is the best, due to the speed of service, the friendliness of the staff, the quality of the meat and the portions. Even when the restaurant is bustling, you can usually count on your food being ready within 15min. The steaks are very tender and the selection from the menu is very good.
