Great cozy hotel

Firstly, the location is great, about 5 minutes away from the main square, and a stone throw away to many restaurants, yet in a quiet street. My room is very cozy. Bed is comfortable. Hot shower is hot, and water pressure is strongz The hotel is nicely decorated especially at the reception/lobby area and the courtyard. Breakfast was simple but fulfiling. The most important feature about this hotel is its staff. Everyone are polite, friendly and helpful. Always ready to help. And this makes a difference between a good hotel and a great hotel. Two thumbs up.

Wonderful hotel
Reviewed By timothy_1992Tierra Maya is a very nice and peaceful hotel, within comfortable walking distance of the centre. The owners are very kind and offered a large amount of advice on tourism in the region, as well as booking a really good tour to agua azul, misol-ha and palenque. They kindly let me stay in my room beyond check-out because I was recovering from sickness which was hugely appreciated. The bed was really comfortable and the room perfectly clean and with plenty of natural light and hot water - the shower was great. There was always somebody around to help and the place felt really welcome. The WiFi was really strong both in the room and throughout the hotel. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in San Cristóbal and would recommend it for being excellent value and an all round wonderful place to stay.

Beautiful hotel a few blocks away from the main square

Staff is really nice and eager to help. It is just a 5 minute walk from the main square. The rooms are large and very nice decorated. Bathrooms are really nice too. You get your own coffee machine in your room. Definitely a great place to stay in San Cristobal. We got a much better rate by reserving directly with the hotel by phone.

Reviewed By moosegrinOnly 6 rooms at this small hotel. the 4 rooms up on the hillside are definitely more modern and newer. Be aware that some Spanish is necessary to communicate with the staff. Also, like most hotels in San Cristobal do not expect hot water after about 8 pm. The hotel materials say that downtown is only 10 blocks away. Those are very big blocks! Taxi's are plentiful and cheap ($40 pesos as of Jan 2020), so use those to get back and forth from downtown.

Casa Ohana is an eco friendly shared home with 5 private bedrooms. The entire house is shared with whoever stays here, kitchen, living rooms and stunning terrace with the best view ! We use solar panels to offset our energy consumption as well as recycled rain water for cleaning. We are located 6 blocks from the main andador de Guadalupe street and 8 from the main zocalo square.
