We were at the Viking Resort between June 21st to 25th 2021. We had a clean condo with a view on the Lac Masson. It is very well located: one hour from Mont-Tremblant, 10 minutes from Sainte-Adèle, 15 from Val-David, 20 minutes from Saint-Sauveur and one hour from Montréal. It is very well located and you are very near from other sites to do all kinds of activities all year long, including golf, alpine skiing, trekking during the summer and the autumn, etc. The nature all around the place is gorgeous. We have many excellent restaurants there. It is a quiet place away from the over-crowded other places, so it is excellent if you need to relax. You can rent a boat if you have your boat driver’s licence.

Esterel Resort

Nestled in one of the Laurentians’ most beautiful locations, Estérel Resort is one-of-a-kind with its 200 spacious suites with fireplace and kitchenette, three restaurants and one of the most renowned wine cellars in Canada. You can choose between two ambiences. Hotel Evolution’s 95 contemporary, bright and modern suites will bring you closer to nature and Lake Dupuis, while Hotel Emotion, with its 105 warm and cozy lounge suites, is especially designed for romantic getaways. Located only one hour from Montreal and 20 minutes from Saint-Sauveur, Estérel is a popular destination for couples of all ages, a gathering place for anyone who wants to be immersed in a highly romantic setting surrounded by magnificent scenery. What’s more, its geographic location means there are a ton of outdoor activities at its doorstep. During the summer, you can explore the three neighbouring lakes by canoe, kayak or paddle board, and enjoy biking or hiking on the many kilometres of trails around the resort. In winter, the lakes and forests become a huge playground for ice skating, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing enthusiasts. The venue also serves as a popular convention centre, known for its experienced staff and over 12 conference and banquet rooms, some of which offer a breathtaking view of Lake Dupuis and the surrounding nature. Also, with its three restaurants, including the famed Bistro à Champlain whose wine collection exceeds 20,000 bottles—the largest in Quebec—the resort stacks up to Montréal’s finest dining establishments. Restaurant ROK, for its part, is a surf-and-turf lover’s delight with its volcanic stone cooking, while Chais58, which offers a delicious selection of dishes to share, features food and drink pairings prepared by the sommeliers. Finally, you can relax in the Lido Thermal’s facilities (spas, saunas, polar baths, steam sauna, beaches and summer bar), and find a complete range of spa services at the Amerispa Center provided by a team of professionals: massage therapy, beauty and body care. Book your next stay at Estérel Resort now and take advantage of one of our many packages in this exceptional destination in the Laurentians.

Nice location with high price, you would expect to have a great experience. Unfortunately, it was everything but a great experience. No luggage service, we were told that our room package did not include help for luggage. Staff extremely rude and disrespectful on arrival, seems to be a culture as even the management never reached out after we asked. Very complexe booking process for room and restaurants. No main lobby where you can hang out and have a drink. Going around in the hotel was a challenge as it is like a labyrinth. Staying there was a stressful and very bad experience and I would not recommend it to anyone,

not honest people

Their check-in closes at 10 pm, but they presumed nobody would arrive close to this time. We did a reservation for 1 night (9/10 - 10/10) and we have planned to get there at 9 pm, only to sleep after enjoy all the day in the city. We got lost because the location is terrible, we tried to call them to say that we would arrive close to 10 pm, but the telephone was not working. Finally, we got there before 10 pm, but the check-in was already closed and nobody to receive us. We tried to look for someone, do noisy and everything to make someone appears, but it didn't work. So, finally, very tired and afraid of not finding a way to sleep, we decided to look for another hotel. Fortunately we found, but an unexpected expensive left room. They said for the website booking.com that we didn't show up, that is a LIE! They know they closed the check-in before 10 pm, and we also have proofs that we were there! I hope that at least they accept they are wrong and refund our money, they MUST wait for the clients until the last minute of the check-in!!

ENOUGH !

Reviewed By NOdisabilities

Dear Phill. Please end the innuendos. Enough is enough! 1. Regarding the paint on the sheet, I did offer to Gordon to pay for a new sheet. He told me not to worry about it. The paint was I believe, on the cover of one of the new books, that I looked at – I had no idea that someone laid a paint brush (I suspect) on the cover of a brand new book. I sat in bed looking at Gordon’s lovely pictures, unaware of the paint scarring the sheet. 2. Regarding any paint elsewhere, I had nothing to do with it & had I been involved I would have offered to have the article cleaned at my cost. 3. Yes, it was very kind of Gordon and the girls / gentleman to help us up the flagstone walkway and we did thank them appropriately. 4. As we were all part of a new group everyone made the effort to be inclusive. 5. At the time of the Booking I did query YOU on the available sleeping accommodations & you were the one who suggested the accommodation being a suite. 6. You are very wrong, in suggesting that individuals with any kind of disabilities should not attend ART RETREATS. Those with disabilities are just as capable, in many ways, as achieving projects, as individuals who are free of those issues. Thus, on that note, Phil, I am ending any future communication with you. Hopefully as you age, Phil, you will find that the truth always is the best route to follow. Sincerely, Deborah M. Bates
