The rooms have onsuite bathrooms which is great convenience. Clean and comfortable quarters including the gathering rooms where you choose entertainment. Roma Darling is a darling hostess and miss her immensely. God knows how lovely the grounds are and attractive viewpoint from the bench in the driveway. So pleasant to be on a cul de sac road which ends at the Castlevue location. No noisey traffice coming through. I loved it!

Made reservations in Jan for week in June and paid the deposits. This trip was for my daughter and friends high school graduation celebration. Supposed to be a moms and daughters trip. 2 weeks before the day of our stay they called and canceled our reservation because they "sold" the condo. Truth was the rates were cheap when we scheduled because of Covid. Now that the Covid restrictions are lifted and everyone is going on vacation and the rates are now 3 times what they were when we reserved they canceled us to make more from other tourist! Greed!! Ruined my daughters and her friends special day!! Thanks!! I hope they go under!!!! And the rude staff members only made it worse! Treated us awful from the beginning!

The Blue Orchid

Just needed a safe place near the airport for intro and outro overnights

Reviewed By AbqEater

Tina and the staff at the Blue Orchid are friendly and accommodating; the grounds are lovely; and the prices are great. This is not Club Med or Sandals, so don't expect chair-side cocktail service on a private beach. However, if you just need a reasonably priced base of operations that's convenient to the airport, then the Blue Orchid is all you need. Rooms are spare but comfortable and spotless (and air conditioned!) If you want to venture out, you can ask Clive or Tina to set up tours and shopping excursions and they'll be happy to oblige. I felt safe and welcome for the duration of my stay, and would definitely stay there again.

Rose makes it a very special place

Reviewed By ASR94109

We arrived at the port of Montego Bay and phoned the B&B. Rose answered and said she would send someone to pick us up, which she did. We were given our choice of rooms, with air conditioning or vents for natural air. She recommended a place to eat, Scotchies, and took us there and brought us back. After a good breakfast omelet and coffee, she took us to the airport. For each trip, we paid $10, for a total of $40, which we thought quite reasonable. The building is quite attractive, although a bit of age is showing, but the warmth of the reception far outshines any blemishes on the property.

Worst stay in Jamaica ever!! Beware. With the amount i paid, I expected maid service and toiletries. There was not even a bar of soap or a wash cloth. Roaches inside, overpriced bad food. Orange juice from concentrate for 5 dollars a glass. I was lucky to be able to leave early. The driveway is so treacherous vehicles can barely drive it.

Great stay

Reviewed By WalyG

I traveled alone and sick, and felt good at this simple but welcoming place. The owner was nice and helpful and it is a nice place to stay in Montego Bay, in a Jamaican neighborhood rather than on the internationally formatted Hip Strip. Doctor's cave is not far away and good for a relaxing beach day, and it's a good place to just relax with a feeling of real Jamaica. Good for first-timers' long stay I would say, from the kind information and help getting around. And good for "returning" tourists who want to take it slow at arrival or departure to relax and shop.

Paradise Clarridge View

Beautiful view...but to far away from everything!

Reviewed By Julie2727

We stayed at the Paradise Clarridge Resort from January 22-25. When we showed up Diane greeted us at the door and showed us our room. The house is HUGE and very beautiful! The room itself was big with a great view of MoBay although after being there we did realize some issues...toilet was not hooked up when we first arrived, drain did not hold water for a bath, no hot water one night (although Dianne did fix it when we told her the next day), shower head did not stay in the holder, etc etc. Although none of these are big things, when you pay a big price for a resort I would expect not to have to deal with these type of things. Diane said she would let us get settled and if we needed anything she would be downstairs in her room. We were the only people staying here at the time so we decided to go check out the town of Montego Bay. We spent the next half an hour looking for Diane, or anyone who could let us know how we were supposed to get down the mountain. After finally locating Diane she informed us that there was a driver there and it was $30 each way to go to town! Not much of a choice if we didn't want to be there for the night alone! :) We decided to have an early dinner and then head to town. We waited and waited for dinner with no one in sight? Finally and hour and a half later our meal was served...good food but for $20 each we would have preferred to go out. After dinner the driver took us down the long bumpy mountain road and dropped us off on the "hip-strip" which basically is just a bunch of vendors waiting to pounce! A bit scary! The next morning we had a nice american breakfast, eggs, toast, fruit, juice, coffee etc. Again, for $15 each we would have preferred to go out, but once you are there you don't have much of a choice. We did have some cooler weather while there so weren't much interested in the pool, but we may have used the hot tub, had it been functional. It was not full or warm so we could not use that. My husband was going to go out for a run in the mornings but was informed not to go past this one area on the road??? Needless to say he did not go running. :) All in all...it was a nice place to stay...if you are looking for seclusion it is perfect! If you want to check out what the area has this is not the place for you.
