Pleasant welcome!

The staff very friendly and helpful. The room clean and comfortable. There is a restaurant with a bar attached to the hotel and the food is fantastic with a very friendly staff. The parking is a bit tight for larger vehicles (like a Chev Tahoe), but I did noticed Quebec seems to have narrower parking spots all over. The hotel is right on a very busy street, and I was concerned about the room on the street side, but I heard nothing from outside. Bed was very comfortable.

Think Motel 6

Motel le Voyageur is the basic room with bed and bathroom. Nothing luxury about this place. Has refrigerator and microwave. Large flatscreen TV for entertainment. It will do in a pinch but it's nothing to write home about.

Auberge Taylor Manor

A grande manor in a tranquil country setting: This 15-room heritage estate manor has seven ample bedrooms, and was built in 1919 by Thomas Taylor, the last Lord of the 7,000 acre feudal Estate of Cumberland Mills. Fully restored and furnished to its origins, Taylor Manor is located next to Saint Georges Golf Club in a picturesque setting overlooking Cumberland Creek, surrounded by beautiful flower gardens and woods. Stays include an ample continental or hot breakfast each morning. Free Wi-Fi Internet. Sorry, No Pets

Magic place to go back on the 1920 history.

This mansion built in 1917 and perfectly restored by the owners, is a place to discover. The rooms are confortable. We met James on August 2015 and he told us the entire story of the Cumberland Estate. He is very interesting, well documented and so glad to share the story! Don't miss the Taylor Manor.

Auberge Fort-Prevel

Its 30 hectares of greenery overlook the sea and are a perfect place for a golf trip or family vacation. Just ok

Reviewed By MyZoneHotels

Fort Prevel is a property located by the side of the Gaspe Bay which include a hotel, a camping, some cabins and a golf course. This establishment is roughly at a 25 minutes’ drive south of the town of Gaspe. There is no commercial activity around, any restaurants or stores. This is a calm and peaceful place. I booked my room for one night for 88$ per night, excluding taxes, in low season and in Covid time, directly on the Fort Prevel web site. The property This establishment is composed of many buildings of which the main building, where the reception office is, and another separate building, where the rooms are. So it is required to go outside to get from the reception to the rooms. A dozen of rooms are spread on two floors. The access to the reception is by a side door, which looks more like an emergency exit, leading to the golf pro-shop. This store also serves as the reception (maybe because of Covid?). There is a snack-bar and a dining area in the main building. This building has many other areas that seem to be abandoned and a main entrance which not used (maybe because of Covid?). The hotel is directly on the golf course. The property is not very well maintained. A pool seems abandoned for a long time. An outside terrace also seems to be abandoned. Weed is growing between the cobblestones of the sidewalks and of the terrace which gives a feeling of abandonment. Parking is free. At a two minute walk from the hotel there are remains of a world war two fortification which include bunkers, a network of tunnels and an abandoned canon battery. The site is peaceful (to be verified in high season). There is a nice view on the Gaspe Bay. The room There is no elevator to get to the rooms second floor and the stairs are outside. My room is small, with a carpet. There is no desk, but a small round table with two wicker chairs. This not ideal to work because this table is so small and because there are no power outlet near, if you need to plug a computer, for instance. The room is not well equipped. There are not closed closet. There is a small television and a coffee machine for pouches. The furniture is well maintained, without wear signs. There is no air conditioning, but a window can be opened. When I got there, the room was very hot, and it took at least an hour to reach a comfortable temperature by keeping the window and the balcony door open. There is a small balcony with a table and two chairs. The table is not very clean. The balcony provides a view on the property and on the Gaspe Bay. The bed is flabby and not very comfortable. The room is not very sound proof and I can hear sounds from the corridor and from the other rooms. The bathroom The bath room is rather small but clean. Very little space is available, no space around the sink and only a narrow shelf below the mirror. There is a shower in a bath. A liquid soap dispenser is available on the shower wall. Services The breakfast is not included in the room cost, but it is served in the main building snack-bar. It is served from 7 o’clock. I didn’t have the breakfast because I had to leave before that time. Wireless internet access (Wi-Fi) is free and excellent. The devil is in the details: - A room wall is stained. - The bottom of the balcony door frame is rotten.
