Had a large ski room to store all gear. The rooms were lovely with a balcony and lovely views of the mountains.

Reviewed By EdwardBruyEverything was superb: the room, the beds, the food, the service, the hospitality, etc. We were there for a motorbike holiday and the hotel is well equiped: big garage, drying room and if you like support for making tours. After a day on your motorbike you could relax in the spacious sauna area or take a dip in the pool and have drink on the sunny terrace.

The hidden gem in Saalbach
Reviewed By casagalpyThurnerhof is absolutely the hidden gem in Ski Circus Saalbach, Leogang, Fieberbrung, Vierhofen. We come to this place for many years already, but the owner definitely is on a mission with a clear vision: relaxing in a luxury setting. Over the years there were many improvements that started with the upgrade of the rooms. They have now done a completely restructure of the whole place. A relaxing area with sauna’s and even a infinity pool we’re added. Out of the pool area you have a clear view without any blockings over the slopes. If heaven exists on earth, this is heaven. After a nice breakfast including salmon and a glass of Prosecco, the free shuttle brings you to the lift of your choice. You are normally able to ski back to the hotel, but you are also allowed to grab a taxi in the village on cost of the hotel. Although the hotel is on walking distance of Saalbach center and ski busses are available this extra service is making your stay even more comfortable. With the new chef, dinner is a celebration. A salad bar and a five courses menu that is part of the half board make it a real treat. Wine pairing is possible, but also the numerous gin, cocktails and rums are worth it. Keeping in mind that the skiing areas is one of the best in Europe, the same with the après-ski, it must be that you create good memories. Thurnerhof’s staff is making the extra mile. In a relaxed atmosphere the provide service with a smile. Where in some places it feels forced, here you feel that staff just like to give you a great time during holiday. We will definitely come back as we always do, can’t wait for next year!

Bed was good, nice shower. Spa and wellness in basement very nice and spotless, good sauna and steam bath and plenty of space to relax with a cup of tea. Only thing missing was a jacuzzi. Food very good, both breakfast and dinner with much variety, and you can have a good cup of cappucchino with breakfast. Staff nice and welcoming, we want to stay here again next year :)

Excellent Guest House
Reviewed By Malarkey99Really enjoyed our first trip to Saalbach last week. We had a good sized room at the back of the building with a balcony & it was very quiet. Brilliant, powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Comfortable bed. Car parking at the door. Owners, Simone & Robert, go out of their way to make you feel welcome. A tasty continental breakfast is included in the price. The Schattberg lift is a flat few mins walk. The ski bus also stops right outside the door going both ways. We also skied back to the bottom of run 86 & it was an easy walk back from there too or 2 stops on the ski bus. The skiing in the whole area is well linked with superb, fast, modern uplift & we didn’t see a single queue all week. Ski shop directly next door which is handy & there are plenty of nearby restaurants too. Rossi was great for steak & the Crazy Deer did excellent burgers. You have to go to Hotel Peter on the Friday night too for the magic show haha! Thank you Robert for your recommendations for our route back to Munich Airport. Roads were busy! We both said we would love to come back again, perhaps in the summer next time for some walking. Thanks again for a great stay :-)

Reviewed By sionw6Before our arrival, I contacted the hotel direct regarding our needs; I received a reply from Markus within hours confirming they would be met and this high level of care and attention continued throughout our weeks skiing. The food was outstanding whilst the modern room was spacious and extremely comfortable. The entire staff want to look after you - clearly the vision of Eva, Dani and Hans is well understood by all the team. Jaquelin greeted us on arrival whilst both Balthazar and Luca ensured we were looked after when dinning. We stayed half board and the chef never let us down with three main choices every night meeting the needs of all diets. For skiers, you are approximately a 5 mins walk from the nearest gondola (Kohlmaisbahn) which opens at 0830 and is a great access point for the entire region. The hotel also offers a taxi service to reach other points but the three key sites in Saalbach are within walking distance. Multiple ski hire is within easy walking distance - but the nearest is Bauer and located almost opposite the ski station. Would I stay again - absolutely and I am thinking of a return in the summer months to enjoy the extensive outdoor pursuits.

Lots of facilities that comes with the room (steamroom, sauna, relax area). They try their best to accommodate your wishes (Gluten-free meals for example). If there's a problem with the room, they will try and fix it. Beautiful view from the balcony, too. We can't wait to visit again!

It is an ideal venue for a skiing break, a very short walk to the three main lifts, and at the heart of Saalbach. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the little spa very welcome, the food was plentiful and very tasty, and the staff kind and caring. There's also a sense of history here, as the hotel has been run by the same family since 1950s, and the people that stay have often been coming back year after year. It is a modest hotel, without the swankiness of other Saalbach hotels, but with an honesty and pleasantness that you may not find elsewhere. Thank you Mitterer staff for a lovely week.
