The dwelling is a suggestive casino di caccia (small residential building used for hunting) of the seventeenth century, surrounded by the greenery of a secular park that, among the colors and scents of the prominent lake landscape, gives to each event an unparalleled atmosphere.
Heartless owners kept our money
Reviewed By 278ainenTo make a long & painful story short the corporate owners behind the Villa Cardinale kept every cent of our wedding deposit. The corona virus & government lockdown meant our wedding couldn’t happen. They suggested postponing to next year but who can pick a date in the future to arrange a wedding abroad when the virus is still active. So the owners argued that because we didn’t cancel before the 90 day deadline we lose everything (lockdown happened after this cut off). If this were a normal cancellation yes I would understand their policy, they would lose a day’s business. BUT this was not the case..we cancelled because of the lockdown. We had no option. No wedding could have taken place. The venue was closed because of lockdown! Their cancellation policy should not apply in this circumstance! The absolutely heartless owners of Villa Cardinale kept every cent despite not doing a thing, they gained from our loss. Their final kick in the teeth was their generosity not to hit us with a cancellation fee!!! The dream of having an idyllic Italian wedding amongst family & friends has left us with painful memories & very empty pockets. Absolutely devastated. Forewarning to anyone thinking of having their wedding here. (Forget about insurance paying out either)

Very nice room but out of town
Reviewed By TravellingJanThe room was very very nice and access and parking quite easy. However, I assumed by the address that this was on the lake, but actually it's up the hill from the lakefront road with no view of the lake and the only access was 15 minutes drive. I also thought it would be closer to Rocca di Papa than it was, as we enjoy walking around the towns at night. So this was my fault, not Danila's, that we were so far from any town...at least 20 minutes. And these roads are curvy and without good markers, so we really would not have driven to Rocca or Nemi at night for dinner in October when it's dark at 5 PM. The accomodations are really nice and there is a pool you could sit by if in summer, but we were there in October, so we spent too much time in our room when we were between sightseeing and dinners. I would have enjoyed being able to walk around somewhere but this was not possible nearby. However, there is a restaurant where you turn in from the main road that was excellent and we could walk to it, so we ate there one night. The other night we went on an excursion to find a recommended place. I think this is probably a better summer choice than late Fall choice due to location. But the owner is very helpful and nice and really tries to provide suggestions and assistance, even using Google Translate so that we could communicate clearly.

It's the perfect place for parish groups, pilgrims, school groups, families, couples or people on holiday on their own who stay for a couple of days or a couple of weeks. It's also a wonderful place to hold a wedding in Rome.
Fabulous stay - perfect place
Reviewed By wellibobRecently stayed at Villa Palazzola . My daughter and I visited Palazzola as I was long overdue a rest and this I have to say is the absolute perfect place to relax and chill out. The Villa is an old Monastery and is full of character, each room (i.e. library, dining room) you enter has something to special to offer, walking down the corridors as with the rooms you can feel how special Palazzola is. Outside there is a lovely garden and a terrace that has a spectacular view of Lake Albano and the surrounding area. We met some lovely people and we were also lucky to spend time with a lovely group of seminaries and priests who were also there for the weekend - great guys who made our weekend all the more enjoyable. The meals were good home cooking and delicious. The staff were fabulous and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Villa Palazzo for a wonderful stay we will be back.

Reviewed By Robert SI chose this place at random and booked for one night as we (me and other half) were in the Rome area anyway. Wow, what a result. Absolutely stunning location and the kindest hosts you could wish for. We were made to feel like special guests from the arrival and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast on the Romeo and Juliet balcony was unforgettable and we were driven to the airport next day. I wish I had booked a longer stay. It was lovely to meet you and we will always remember your kindness. Thank you!

A wonderful place, I loved it!
Reviewed By lorelle90I stayed for several days in a themed room with murals, and a view overlooking Rome in the distance. The bed was comfortable, the breakfasts excellent, and the ambiance was great! I explored the village square one evening with my hosts, went to the local market for fruits one morning, and another afternoon climbed the hill to the volcano museum. It was a charming locanda, and Federica and Roberto are exceptional!
