Lovely quiet B&B a very short drive from the Chiemsee
Reviewed By colin wWe stayed a week in this lovely B&B a very short drive from the crowds of Prien and within easy driving of many sights in Bavaria and Austria. Choose a balcony room for evening view over the mountains (sometimes with lightning). You are not within practical walking distance of Prien so do need to drive to supper (or bring your own food and drink to the hotel - fridge, plates, glasses and cutlery in room. Exception: There is one nice restaurant a 1.2 km walk away). Superb buffet breakfast. The area offers both active (cycling, walking, water sports) and lazy (boat trip, driving) excursions so great for all ages, weathers and exertion levels. Whatever your preference a day on the Chiemsee is not to be missed - the two main islands are fascinating quirks of history. Our favourite locations a little farther away were Salzburg and the Konigssee. And a hidden gem - a rock formation where millstones were made for 300 years starting 1570 (that's my photo contribution ...) Very friendly hosts happy to advise on all aspects of local tourism. Free wifi, cold drinks machine near hallway (beer ad soft drinks), ..... Any areas for improvement ? Sure: reading lights on the balcony would be nice as would down rather than polyester duvets. If you are tall beware the beds are a little short and have wooden footboards (is that a word ?) so stretching your legs is trickier than it need be. Covid-19 August 2020: The hotel’s still full, Germans and a few other European nationalities but no Americans or Asians. Face masks throughout and buffet breakfast means you go to the buffet (in your face mask) and ask for what you want: The hotel staff (in face mask and gloves) will put it on your plate. Works well, the hotel staff are a little stressed out but coping pretty well.

Reviewed By zactravelsExcellent hotel with a kind staff. Just a short drive to downtown Prien and easy access to the A8 (Autobahn) and Rosenheim (20km). Restaurant is excellent, although breakfast is limited (included in room price). The views are priceless and the kids enjoy an amazing well built playground. Just up the hill is a local Schnapps distillery with a kind setting that is unique to the local culture. As a drawback be warned, this property, like most in the area, does NOT have air conditioning. Business visitors should be aware that the free WiFi is less than reliable on the top floor.

Wonderful place to discover the region
Reviewed By Luc62_05Very nice villa with charming host artistic decorated close to the lake... highly recommended! Only downside is the common bathroom but this is well organised. Very nice restaurants even with only crossing the road... We visited beside the lake (quite touristic) also the mountains. We climed the Kampenwand with a very beautiful view on the region. But be aware of the heavy climb before you start. Anyway, beatiful place to start our holiday and discover this unknown region of Germany...

Reviewed By paebels14Für uns gibt es keinen schöneren und erholsameren Urlaub. Wir kommen das vierte Jahr in Folge auf den Lamplhof und genießen die Zeit sehr. Die Gastgeber sind so liebenswert und binden die großen und kleinen Gäste gerne in den Hofalltag ein. In der Gegend kann man sehr viel Unternehmen- Langeweile kommt mit Sicherheit keine auf.

Ein Stück Paradies !
Reviewed By Patrick TWir gehen jetzt schon seit 7 Jahren zur Familie Ziegler und es ist immer wieder traumhaft. Es ist ein sehr schön gelegener Bauernhof auf dem Hötzelsberg mit traumhaften Blick auf den Chiemsee. Es gibt dort 2 Ferienwohnungen und 7 Zimmer in einem schönen Haus neben dem eigentlichen Hof. Preise sind für den chiemgau eigentlich günstig. Bei der Familie Ziegler würden wir sehr familiär aufgenommen und das ist echt mit das schönste, es ist nicht wie in Urlaub fahren sondern wie ein Stück nach Hause zu kommen. Es ist einfach ein Stück Paradies!!!

Ein mehr als perfekter Aufenthalt dank einer wunderbaren Gastgeberin
Reviewed By markus_imgEin perfektes Wochenende in einem tollen Ferien Apartment. Die Gastgeberin meldete sich schon vorab mit allen wichtigen Informationen und war auch während des Aufenthalts stets erreichbar. Das Zimmer war sehr schön eingerichtet und es fehlte an Nichts. An jedes noch so kleine Detail wurde gedacht. Egal ob Wasser, Kaffee oder Tee auf dem Zimmer, sämtliche Hygieneartikel, FFP2 Masken und Desinfektionsmittel; alles war bereits vorhanden. Wir haben auch das Frühstück in Anspruch genommen, das zu einem vereinbarten Zeitpunkt bei schönem Wetter draußen serviert wurde. Das Frühstück war mehr als umfangreich und köstlich. Reste wurden zusammengepackt und konnten als Lunch Paket mit an den See genommen werden. Das Haus bietet auch einen netten (Winter-)Garten in dem es sich gut aushalten lässt. Der Chiemsee mit seinen Strandbädern ist einen Katzensprung entfernt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Como en casa

Un alojamiento económico a un paso del lago Chiem y en un establecimiento donde te pueden atender incluso en castellano. Recomendable reservar con tiempo. Pocas habitaciones y se llena rápido. Ideal para ciclistas.

Reviewed By christinamaierW-Lan wird ausgeschrieben aber ist nicht verfügbar. Normale Internetverbindung hat auch keinen Empfang. Man ist quasi von der Außenwelt abgeschlossen. Essen steht ewig in Behältern, Selbstbedienung, keine wirkliche Auswahl an Speisen. Strichlistensystem welches die Gäste selber führen sollen aber niemand weißt einen darauf hin. Geschweige denn von einer Erklärung wenn man nachfrägt. Mittags gibt es kein Salat. Das ganze Haus riecht nach Kantine. Bei tollem Wetter reißt es die Lage am See raus.
