If you stay at the SchlossHotel and eat elsewhere you are short changing yourself! I had read a couple of reviews that indicated the meals were expensive. Not True! The Dining Room is beautiful and is accurately portrayed on their website. What the pictures cannot portray is the ambience and quality of the meals. The menu is fairly short, but we did not find a meal that was less than absolutely outstanding. At the end of our 3 week trip through Germany we had four of the best meals here. The Steak was excellent as was the Hirschl. Also the Pike was outstanding. Every night the offer an optional salad bar with many delicious options that can be added to your meal. After you eat you can adjourn to the cozy bar in the next room for a relaxing evening.

We have been going to this restaurant for years, but last night was exceptionally fine. We had spargel soup with a veal dish--some of the very finest German food we have ever had. Very nice house aperitif. Salads with fresh yoghurt based dressing. There were four of us at the table and we all ordered something different. Courses arrived effortlessly and together. The two salmon dishes were good and one of our party ordered a menu with fish in a mustard sauce that was excellent. Very nice rhubarb tart with ice cream to finish--that took a few extra minutes since it was baked after we ordered--nothing is brought in off site. All house made, fresh, and seasonal. This is a very fine restaurant. There is small outdoor seating in the back, and a few accommodations for well behaved children. Prices are moderate for Europe, but the food is exceptionally fine. We were there for 3 hours with lots of time to enjoy the aperitif, consider the menu options, pause a short time between courses. This is not a place to rush. attentive wait staff who spoke some English and was extremely helpful. I suggest calling for reservations. They don't seem to answer email and the restaurant is not overly large. This is just west of Landstuhl in the Kaiserslautern area--you drive through the country and in very fine weather the drive is a wonderful part of the evening.

This restaurant has several different sized rooms to accommodate various sized parties, unfortunately the once superb menus has declined somewhat, and the service has wained, however the food which our party orderedwas very nice although lacking in quantity and swimming in gravy making it tasty but very soggy, this restaurant has always had a wonderful ambience, but it would seem that the menu choices are going the same way as the rest of the restaurants in the local area,.

While stationed at Ramstein in the 90's, we loved this restaurant! Returned tonight after 22 years and it was just as delicious! We had our normal Chateuabriand and it was so delicious! Our friends were eating there for the first time and ordered the same and were very happy with the choice! One of their daughters thought the potato soup was very good and the other felt the same about the onion soup!Great time with friends and lots of old memories!

Met up with some coworkers for a late lunch here. The food was good, although know you're getting a deli-style casual restaurant. I ordered the Margarita pizza and was very impressed. Husband ate a Doner and enjoyed the spicy sauce. Overall this restaurant has options that should satisfy a variety of preferences.

A butcher owns this place and you can really tell, the meats are fabulous. The rump steak with dark beer sauce is to die for. The setting is small so do make a reservation.

The rumpsteak with herb butter is by far the best that I have found in Germany. The servers are so sweet and the owner loves reservations. They do tend to fill up fast. I would recommend calling and not sending in a reservation online. Cozy and easy place with amazing food that is well priced. My favorite place in Landstuhl.

The restaurant is really good, their selection of foods is not enormous but covers all picky customers. In case you are not happy with the selection of food, you can order specialities a day prior to seating. The chef is very forthcoming. We ate dinner two times, food- selection of wines all good. There is basically no need to seek out other dining facilities. There are several locals dropping by for a true sit down dinner. Splendid service throughout.
