Great EU style hotel
Reviewed By GreatAngeA bit pricey, but European style rooms and facilities overviewing the lake and spacious green territory. Clean rooms, friendly staff, own guarded parking. One of key -ves is the lack of own decent restaurant - the on on premises is more like a bistro with canteen style food & service + a 700m walk through the forest from hotel grounds (great for younger people but NOT suitable for the elderly, women on high heels, wheelchairs or baby trollers, as the road has only stairs and no podiums!). Overall very good if compared with other hotels in Sortavala, but still can do better...

Reviewed By wol4ndUsed as base for a trip to Valaam. It's cozy and tranquill, right on the bank of the lake Ladoga. Local kitchen is good and price is okay, atmosphere is nice and traditional, clean and peaceful place to restore you after a long journey to get there.

Fantastic hotel
Reviewed By NOMAD070The hotel is very clean and the well situated. We loved the lake in the lodge. We rented the rowing boat and the cycle and both were in good condition. The WIFI was super fast (excellent) which is quite rare in karelia. The owner was very kind and friendly, He was very kind to pick us up from our previous lodge free of charge. The breakfast is very good and the lady administrator (Juliana i think) was super efficient and very friendly. Loved the place. Please visit the lodge .It's fantastic.

There is a hall with TV-set. There is a terrace. Secured parking. The guests can cook in the kitchen and use accessories for barbeque at the GH's area. Reviewed By Feng GActually, the position of the Guest House hotel is not very good, a little far from the lake shore, but the boss (Ms Victoria) is a kindy lady. And the city is not so big, just walking is OK. If I have time, I shall be there In autumn, because Kizhi island is so beautifully.
