We patronized this restaurant hosted by our German colleagues. Party of 16. Ordered the meat and seafood platters. They were plentiful and tasty. Appreciate the attentive service that make the evening very enjoyable. Will return for sure during my next trip to Remscheid.

Thus everything wasnt as perfect as expected at a Michelin Starred Restaurant, this venue stil deserves a 5 * Review from me due to the Price Performance Ratio, High Quality/Serving and Location/Ambiance.
The restaurant is situated in a nice villa on the hills at the suburb area of Remscheid. You are wellcomed and seated nicely and formly with this typical upscale place. After ordering the drinks and arranging some special wishes for the menu ( I am getting quail instead of Lamb) the staffs served the breads and Amuse Bouche. As it was a very busy Saturday evening the staffs needed some time to serve the completed menu and in some points way too long - between the courses. We arrived at 8 PM and the Dinner ended around 11 PM...

I eat here 3 or 4 times per year and the food is always outstanding. Be prepared to wait as everything is prepared from fresh but is well worth the wait. Price is not for every day dining but then for this quality you would not expect it to be.
Highly recommended!

We highly recommend you to visit this nice Turkish restaurant if you plan an elegant night out. As a Turkish, I am proud to see this example of concept modern restaurant apart from the classical ones. Although it doesn't have a big variety of meals, the ones you order make you taste the best cooked and served meals in the city . And also my little son was very happy to be having conversation with the smiling face and kind staff.

This restaurant is about 5 minutes drive from Remscheid, and according to local German food sites it is ranked number 1 in the city. And indeed - the place is charming, the food, especially the meets were excellent, and prices sane.
The service was kind, fast and efficient, thought the young waiter didn't know much and had to go ask everything.
Still - a highly recommended restaurant if you are in the area.
Closed on Mondays, otherwise open Tuesday to Friday from12PM-2PM and from 6PM to 10PM

Really great service in this hotel which made us feel very welcome and good taken care of. Warmest recommendation. Both in the restaurant and at the hotel. We stayed just one night to overnight at our road trip.

Culinary delights in a former children's home. Ronny Kabai is a gastronomic man who make their guests feel very welcome. The Landhaus Spatzenhof offers a range of local and international cuisine and a great selection of wine. The restaurant has undergone refurbishment but great care has been taken to preserve the original features of the building. Modern additions include light and dark tables, discreet decor, beautiful flower arrangements and romantic candlelight. The cookery classes and the open-view kitchen are both fabulous.

we have booked a weekend arrangement in Spatzenhof for a wanderer arrangement. This was already suggested by the owner at the moment of booking where we have asked for a two rooms and diners to taste their kitchen. This was most affordable so we were already pleasantly surprised by the hotel owner.
Our expectations were fullfilled : extraorinarely well prepared food, profesional and very helpful personnel. First dinner was 4 courses complemented with sommelier suggestions on wine and we have very much enjoyed. Second dinner was even better what was really a surprise : gourmet 6 courses with especially sole fish made so gently that it was an experience you keep on thinking. No wonder Michelin star is expected to be added !
Rooms are theme based and have perfect beds : anatomically shaped, wide, bathroom has just everything you wish (even music !)
We had a cabrio tour through this part of Germany and Spatzenhof proved to be a perfect start and endpoint of a trip. Absolutely fabulous adress for a romantic or gourmet weekend.

A little town 500 Km NE of Paris. Or 30 Km NE of Cologne. Not really the center of anything. But this is a place worth to go and try some cake. A piece will not be too big, but whatever you choose: It will be delicious. A nice place for a great breakfast or an afternoon break. A good point to leave the highhway (A1), drop in for a piece of cake and start a tour into the "Bergisches Land". You will not regret it.
And take some chocolates with you for the rest of the day. Handmade.

First, I must say that we have only used their take-away service. The food is good, very nice dough on their pizzas, the pizza rolls are great. The trouble with Totoooo is that they have often got our order wrong; forgotten the peppers on a spicy pizza, left out the garlic, no onions on a tuna and onion dish, etc.
