Постепенно делается ремонт, что радует) Диетическая еда, нам хватает, можно посмотреть и выбрать понравившиеся блюда. Всегда на выбор: рыба, курица, котлета и запеканки. Дают булочки, фрукты. Отличное лечение. Хочу отметить радоновые ванны и грязелечение. Из достопримечательностей: Лермонтовские места, гора Машук. Посетите верхний рынок, где много всего вкусного. Также предлагают экскурсии на любой вкус. Я бы посоветовала сюда приехать.

good treatment, poor accommodation
Reviewed By evoinelIt is a Soviet sanatorium with good service, good food (served like in a Soviet sanatorium), good treatment and numerous drawbacks in terms of accommodation and overall organisation. The rooms need renovation, the doctors and nurses complete all the necessary forms in hand, bathrobes are provided only in the Lux room and are not changed... it seems that the administration stayed back in Soviet times and does not think about attracting guests. The staff is very attentive and helpful though. And I doubt that anyone there speaks English, so I would not recommend to stay there if you don't speak Russian. The treatment is quite good, there were a lot of people who visit this sanatorium every year or two. The majority of guests are children with their moms or grandmas. The location is very good, just in the historical heart of the city. And we had a spectacular view on the Mashuk mountain. All in all, if you're not prepared for Soviet comfort - no lifts, one bathroom for two rooms, etc. - better avoid this place and all the places called "sanatorium" in Pyatigorsk, as this is nearly the best.

The advantage of sanatorium "Tarkhany" is the location of residential, medical-diagnostic building, swimming pool, therapeutic physical training hall, gymnasium, concert hall and dining room in the same building, which makes the stay in the resort more comfortable and convenient. Guests are accommodated in single, twin and double rooms with all amenities, balconies with views of the Main Caucasian ridge. The main medical profile diseases of the musculoskeletal system; diseases of the Central and peripheral nervous system; diseases of the digestive system; diseases of the endocrine system; diseases of the genitourinary system and reproductive disorders; gynecological diseases; diseases of the respiratory system; diseases of ear, throat, nose; diseases of the skin.
