Not a good place to spend ur money...... The food was average (uncooked veggies, warm and not hot food).... Served food late (while we were the only customers)The only thing worth praising was the plating (A word which has just become common after Master Chef).......They need to work hard to attract real crowd....... otherwise i foresee a close-down in near future

I came to Pakistan on a vacation and landed in Rawalpindi. To be honest, not a big fan of the city when it comes to food; let's face it, I'm a Karachiite and somehow outside/fast-food in Rawalpindi is barely edible for me. Anyway....So we randomly parked in Saddar to check out some used cell-phones and saw this powerful green laser beam coming from the building across from us. The light came from an otherwise barely noticeable 2nd floor restaurant saying "Bonfire". The billboard had a pizza drawn on it, and being bored of Tehzeeb bakery pizza and not wanting to waste money on Pizza-Hut, which again in Rawalpindi ..... Khayr, we thought let's give it a try and we went upstairs. Our moods were already off due to an altercation regarding exchanging clothes so we were cranky. Well, climbed the 2nd floor and much to my surprise, the guard at the restaurant was very nice and welcoming, said salaam (looking at my beard) and opened the door with a smile. We got in, were rightaway welcomed by the server who showed us to the diner. First thing about this restaurant, very clean and the dim lighting with velvet seats giving a rocky-texture appearance, I was impressed already, so was the family. It looked like someone had actually put an effort setting up this place, thumbs up for that. Then we ordered, the pizza i.e. and I told the server I make really good pizza, so he better impress me; got their Bonfire supreme pizza with extra cheese, Bonfire wings, and Barbeque Platter for 2 with Pena colada ( all Halal BTW :/ ).While we enjoyed the environment that had already relaxed our moods, there came the appetizers , garlic bread and some sauce. About 15 minutes later the wings came, followed by the Pizza, and 10 minutes further in, the platter. Perfect timing for the starved Shoppers. The platter had more meat than all three of us could eat, large portions of different BBQs, including Chicken Malai Tikka, Quails ( Batayr ) , Beef Shish kabobs and Chicken Shish Kabobs, oh, and fish tikka too. Let's Stop for a second, did I mention I was from Karachi ? My family are taste-nazis and we criticize bad food and bad taste right on the spot. Well we were quiet, because everything in that darn platter, including the Kabuly pulao that came was delicious, and I mean it!It was so good that we nearly forgot we had a freshly baked pizza lying right there, which I jumped for , just to check. Kudos there too! Finally we found something better than Tahzeeb bakery pizza, or rather a place to eat "real" pizza in Rawalpindi. And this comes from someone who's been involved in making / eating pizzas since Ninja Turtles ( 1992 ). Not the best pizza I've ever eaten, but definitely the best in Rawalpindi so far.Pina-Colada was neither too icy, nor warm, just enough to gulp it all down, impressive.Bonfire-wings, you've gotta try these out! Rarely do I get to eat these wings in Canada. And then there was the staff, the floor manager ( Shiraz bhatti I believe ) came asking about our experience and I couldn't shut up talking nice about the place. I was just so pleased as rarely stuff gets me out of my "fight" mood that fast, but we nearly forgot the stress because of the smiling staff, the cool atmosphere and of-course, exceptionally delicious food. We ask for the food to be packed as it was still so much for us to eat, but we had to drive lol! They packed the food in aluminum foil containers and the pizza in a pizza-box, put them in a paper-carrying bag. Now , for an outsider this might seem something regular, but spend some time in Pakistan and you'll learn to appreciate all this. I had finally found a place I could take my friends who are not from Pakistan when I bring them in for a visit. I hope these guys maintain the atmosphere, the courtesy , and the quality of their restaurant for a longer period as this place is definitely in my list of MUST-GO-TO eateries when I come next year.Last but not least. The price... yeah it's a bit on the expensive side for a regular Pakistani. Expect to spend what you do at Monal, but get better food and larger portions. They don't have the scenic view of course, but the atmosphere they've set, makes up for it.Check this place out if you're in Rawalpindi, you won't be disappointed.

It came as a surprise that Marco Polo was not listed at Tripadvisor as a restaurant. Located at Pearl Continental, just ahead of the reception, the restaurant caters for different tastes and provides a fulfilling experience. I had breakfast as well dinner and both were good. The dinner has a good variety of salads and desserts, with some good Pakistani, Arabic and Italian dishes. The atmosphere is good and tranquilizing. Nice place to indulge into some fine food and gossip.

Established in a basement its mostly students loved place. Just a normal sitting n dine in place. All youngstrs running this place created a theme for the ambience. Less expances on its out look.
