Yesterday, Mid-Summer's Day, Riva del Garda, Italy ... and Scorchio ... Met a couple we know from dear old Yorkshire at that marvellous fountain in the large piazza outside and around the Castillo. Walked awhile and lighted upon the beautifully fresh and enticingly well-kept frontage of The Bellavista Pizzeria. There we sat joyously for about an hour sipping Aperol Spritzers, Hugos, White Wine, Frizzante & Naturale Aquas ... and Whisky from our Home Country's Island Selection. Bliss. This place was busy (always a good sign) and the staff were attentive and happy to serve; the bill wasn't unreasonable and the only minor complaint our companions of the day had was that no nibbles forth came. We said others in Lake Garda had provided crisps nuts and biscuity things by the bunch and they said, "None of that up here." ... which was mildly surprising. No harm done. The toilets were very impressive in The Bellavista ... Modernist and efficient. Would go again and would certainly recommend. The glass of Lagavulin I had went down an absolute treat ... and everyone there seemed to enjoy every minute there ... So, Five Stars from us.

We went here for a lunch on a very hot day. We were not sure what to expect since restaurants on locations like this are sometimes overpriced and have poor service. However this place was fantastic! First of all the view is great with a nice breeze. Service was super fast. We had traditional spaghetti al ragu and spaghetti allâamatriciana. Both tasted great, portions were huge and price was cheap. Couple sitting next to us had salads which also look delicious.

We ate here a couple of times while we were in Riva and the weather was a bit dodgy, and each time had better food than we were expecting considering it looks like a standard hotel restaurant. We had the sea bass and lamb chops. The sea bass was good but the lamb was really excellent, five double chops cooked well so they were pink, tasty, succulent.We also tried the pizzas which were good. All this in a restaurant that has a good view over the lake, which isn't as common as you might expect in Riva.The service is good and the prices are reasonable.Dear Southgate family,we are so happy to read your review about our restaurant! Despite risking some sort of subtle intimidation by the management who responds to review criticism with a degree of aggressiveness and outrage, I have to say that my expectations were higher after reading reviews on TA. Clearly food didn't live up to them. The pizza in particular I didn't like. Dough was soggy (okay calzone tends to retain moisture inside), but even the ingredients were low quality. Cannot complain about service however. Rating it poor would be unfair but average would be too much. 2.5 stars for me. Wonderful atmosphere and extremely friendly staff. Family ran restuarant.We first visited when our hotel booked us a table, we had tabel number one, which was a perfect spot inside the restuarant.We fancied something simple after a week of fine dining, so went for the scallops and lobster gratin followed by lasagne. We had pizza, pasta and risoto. All were tasty. especially the pizza was great. The price are lower than i other restaurants (the Margharita is 4,80 E for example). The staff were ok. Interier is nothing special, but also ok. You cant seat really outside, but some part of restaurant is partly without roof.Thank you for the nice review mr. Pavel! Iâm happy that you liked our food!I take this opportunity to inform customers that the pizzeria will be CLOSED FOR HOLIDAY ! We will be open again from Thursday, September 19th.

When I was in Riva La Garda this week I looked up TripAdvisor for a restaurant and booked this restaurant. Wonderful, an enjoyable meal and a good and friendly service too. Also nicely decorated and good value for money. The meat I had was just perfectly prepared. One word of complaint tough, please invest in a good air conditioning. This friendly restaurant and bar is tucked away in a side street of central Riva De Garda. We dined there as a family of four and had a great meal. My daughters shared a Pizza (â¬15), as we were advised that sharing is the way to best enjoy the thick and rich base. I am an avid pizza baker and found the dough (risen over 48-72h) to be very tasty and special. I had the truffle risotto (â¬14) and my wife chose the salmon (â¬15). All dishes tasted incredibly good and cooked to perfection. My wife and i also tried local white wines by the glass, which were wonderful. There is also a range of very interesting local artisan beers available, which are worth a try. All four of us also shared a tasty meat/cheese platter and 2 great Tiramisu. The overall bill came to â¬91, which is about â¬10-15 above average for a family-of-four meal in Riva. But in my view it is absolutely worth the additional money. Service was patient, friendly and knowledgeable. Locals stopped by for a drink and it was great to see community appeal of this place.
