We went for a mid-day meal and decided to relax because it was obviously so special. In fact, we had to rush our visit to Erice! but it was worth it. Great service, great recommendations and GREAT meal. Fish was amazing, pasta, specials. Ambiance comfortable and intimate. We agree, a jewel!

Situated on the salt flats with views of the Erice mountain. This restaurant has a nice feel but food could be improved, some dishes were too salty. Service was somewhat offhand and we were not offered dessert or coffee. Portion sizes were ridiculously large. I do not understand why you would have a menu structured as antipasti, primi, descondi and dolci if each course is big enough to be a meal (food waste is a very bad thing), why not offer large and small portions oif each dish at different prices?. The caponata antipasta was enormous (and too salty) as was the busiate. If you do not like fish then you have very little choice on secondi (swordfish was not very memorable). The busiate trapanese was very good....but so much of it! Avoid the vino locale in carafes, it really is not good..although very cheap. Seems to do good business with coach parties at lunchtime.
