A visit to the Bistro is the ideal way to refresh yourself after a visit to the museum or if you are simply passing by. Located in the former Habsburg officersâ mess at the heart of the Franzensfeste complex, the Bistro serves regional and seasonal dishes
Very nice cafe in historic surroundings. The staff is friendly and you can sit in the courtyard. Another huge advantage the roofs are covered in light night rods as the the Franzenfeste used to be an arms and gun powder depot for hundreds of years⦠No need to be afraid of lighting .. always good news..
Ampie sale all'interno, tavoli all'esterno, in bella posizione vicino al Duomo, con cucina sudtirolese e pizze. Servizio celere, con bionde cameriere. Un belll'ambiente dove trascorrere la serata.
Wine Gellar White the fines italiana wines, beers and soft drinks. Fresh "Tartine, appetizers,"tartare" every Wednesday, meta balles every Saturday.
We had reservations and a fixed meal with choices. For the appetizer I had the meat w/ horse radish and for the main course I had the dumpling. The first choice was the best for me, I wouldnât order the dumpling choice again. It was ok, very well presented but even though there was 4 different dumplings presented, except for the spinach dumpling the other 3 tasted the same and very flat. Again, it just was not my favorite. I try local foods when I have the chance. My wife had the spinach tortellini. We share our meals and we both really liked her choice. The facility had a very pleasing and relaxing interior design. Even a fish pond and outside patio effect under a canvas canopy. Loved it.

My wife and I had dinner at the gasthof Haller in Bressanone / Brixen. The food was very good and the service was excellent. We sat in the balcony section that had a view over the city. Our meal of mixed grill was tasty and well prepared. The braised ribs were particularly notable. The Haller is located about a 2-3 min drive (15-20 min walk) outside the main city center up a hill, which accounts for the views. It is well with it to get well prepared locally source dishes.

The place to taste excellent wines thoroughly selected by the owner. Great wine list, very friendly service of a knowledgeable host, delicious snacks - I can especially recommend great cheese selection with local spicy marmalade, in combination with white wines from the region Alto Adige.
