Reviewed By Raphael GClearn rustic room in a smaller family owned agriturismo. Farm animals on the property where a bonus as it was fun to check in on the rabbits, pony and donkey everyday. Room was clean and the breakfast was very good. They specially made me farm fresh eggs with home made pancetta when requested. About 5 minute drive to downtown and Lake Bracciano. Very relaxing five nights. We weren't able to connect to wifi, and the phone reception was spotty for me in this area. The host family was very kind and friendly.

Reviewed By PatrickF581Beautiful location. We had a lovely room with balcony with a great view. But most importantly Paolo was really friendly and a great help during our stay. We unfortunately had a 4 hour delay and had to go home 4 days early, but Paolo did everything he could to help us out. We would love to come back for a longer stay.

Reviewed By Jozy74Stayed here with my husband as we wanted to be close enough to a Rome, but in a calm location. Thus fitted the bill superbly! Miguel and the family made us feel so welcome, despite the evident language barrier, we still managed (with the help of an internet translator). Gorgeous pool and restaurant, stunning views, great location. The restaurant got very bust at the weekend, but was very quiet the rest of the time, so absolutely no noise problems. The only negative is the very bumpy road you must drive up, but we only had a smart car, so we felt all the potholes. Cerveteri was nearby with the amazing Necropolis and Rome was 30 mins or so by car. The free wifi was very patchy, but this didn't bother us as it was nice to be away from it all. Well worth a visit if you want to relax in peace and quiet, but don't expect any buzzing nightlife nearby, it's very secluded!

Agriturismo Tenuta Monte La Guardia is located in Castel Giuliano, a hamlet of the municipality of Bracciano (Rome). It is reachable from a single long, kilometer-long road, with divergent variations of slope, which separates it from the Castel Giuliano village square. Our agritourism is an isolated oasis, is outside the urban center, in open countryside, surrounded by woods and seasonal vegetation. Just because of its location it is suitable for nature lovers, walking (within walking distance there are 4 waterfalls within our property) and animals. Many of our animals are in the free state and represent an attraction for most of our guests. Therefore, if you think that the dirt road, distance from urban centers, open countryside or free animals can make you uncomfortable, we invite you to contact us directly: we will be happy to give you all the detailed directions! The farmhouse has 2 rooms and 15 apartments, plus the SPA suite. We are looking forward to meeting you!
Italian hospitality at its best
Reviewed By rchughesThis place may have a number of imperfections, but I would wholeheartedly recommend a visit. It’s situated in the middle of a beautiful piece of Roman countryside with lots of good walking around. The entrance road isn’t in great condition, but we managed to drive it several times in a standard car with no real issues. It is an agriturismo resort with lots of animals roaming free - you definitely feel closer to nature. The rustic style room we had was clean and comfortable with a great view. The SPA room is just that (ie a large room with a jacuzzi bath, wardrobe sauna and good shower), so don’t expect a Champneys style resort. It’s a nice, peaceful and private room however with herbal teas etc and space to relax. If arranged in advance, you can get a good massage at reasonable price too. That all said, the 2 most compelling reasons to go are: 1) the evening meals (made with local produce and recipes) that were just incredible, and 2) the warm hospitality of hosts Piera and Gioacchino. Despite our being non-natives and not speaking the language they made us feel completely welcome and patiently took the time to arrange what we needed and explain what we did not understand. I’d recommend without hesitation.

The "Agriturismo 4 Ricci" holiday farm was established in 2007 and is run by the Ricci family. It is located on the hills of Cerveteri(where the Etruscan Necropolis is), 20 minutes away from Rome, 20 minutes away from Bracciano (where the famous castle is), 15 minutes away from the Leonardo da VInci Airport, 30 minutes away from the Civitavecchia Port and 10 minutes away from the Bambin Gesù Hospital. Just like all farm holidays, this place is rustic and cosy, and you will taste the products of the nearby lands and especially the famous Cerveteri white wine. Two self-catering apartments are also at the guests' disposal. There is a playground for children, a pool, a small farm with animals and a manège. One can even celebrate any kind of feasts in the banquet hall. The rooms (breakfast included) are available also with the formulas: half- or fullboard.
Great food and good wedding location option

It was then when we noticed it as a nice possible wedding location so this week we went to have a look. The place is really nice and the wedding planner on site seems really great and willing to accommodate any wish we might have. They also showed us the rooms which are not extraordinary but quite decent and recently redone (before they were painted in all kinds of colors, which actually made us think that the location would not be that nice for the guests that need accommodation as well). Definitely one of the top choices we are considering.

Reviewed By grubjuiceSummary: Aircon was not cold, wifi was down, there was a loud pool party till 1.30am Upon arriving, the place looked exactly like the pictures, modern, basic but clean. However, having come from two amazing agritursimos before this one, we had some basic expectations. Firstly, no one greeted us at the door. We felt like we were intruding into a family gathering where everyone just stops and stares at you awkwardly until someone gets a person who can speak english. The swimming pool was crowded with people that were not staying there. which means that it is not a private pool and we didnt even feel like going near the pool area. the whole property was so crowded! Though everyone is nice, they failed to introduce their property and amenities. We had to ask for check out time, breakfast time, wifi password, etc. If you have ever been to an agriturismo, the first thing that happens is a warm welcome where the owners proudly introduces themselves, their property, the history of the place, their farm/produce and make you feel super comfortable. that was sorely lacking here. In the room, there was only one towel and one bathrobe, but there are two people!? It is summer in Italy where temperatures are at 35 to 38 deg for most part of the day. the aircon was totally unable to cool the room down. they explained that they used a geothermal airconditioning system where the weather outside affects the power of the aircon? I'm really not sure.. but we had to drive out to the outlet to rest in a cafe with proper aircon. reaching back, the room was still not cooled down. Felt like 30 deg in there so we requested to change room which they kindly allowed but the aircon was working at the same level, non-existent. We decided to just wait for nightfall and go out for dinner first. upon reaching back, to our utmost horror, there was a pool party! loud music and a rowdy crowd. This loud thumping music lasted till 1.30am. Remember that we had no cold air, so we had to open the windows. We could not sleep due to the loud music and talking and the insects that were flying in! (the previous 2 agriturismos had wire meshes on their windows to prevent insects) the thing is, the party people came from outside the agriturismo and there were a lot of them. Thank you to the nice italian mama in the morning who apologised to us about the party but can I ask the owners why we were not told beforehand? not even in the day when we checked-in? Why do you let non-agriturismo tenants use the facilities and disturb the people actually paying for the room? Why did you not email us before we even arrived to let us know this was happening so that we could choose another hotel? Agriturismos are supposed to be peaceful and rejuvenating. This place was nothing but. My husband and I are leaving very tired after an extremely unrestful sleep and mosquitoes bites on our bodies.

Reviewed By Helen GImmaculate rooms. Really brilliant supper cooked by the lovely mother with fresh ingredients from the garden. Incredibly helpful family - we had a problem with our hire car and they drove us to the mechanic. Easy to get to Tivoli, Subiaco, Palestrina and don't miss Genazzano. We left with hugs and kisses and feeling well looked after.
