We stayed at moana lodge for 3 nights, papaya lounge is the hotel restaurant. The first night we had dinner at the restaurant, the ocean views are amazing (high climb to the restaurant but 100% worth it!). The frensh bartender makes delicious cocktails and does a great job! Happy hour is from 4 till 6 perfect for watching the sunset! The food is oké, but little pricy, its a tapas concept so you can taste a lot of everything. Some or better then others, we loved the fresh calamari with home made sauce. The food itself was overall too salty. I self use a lot of salt while cooking at home, but the food in papaya lounge was really toooo much salted. Otherwise the dishes were perfect! The 2nd and 3th night of our stay the restaurant was closed, which was not so pleasant while we had no transportation. I couldn't understand because breakfast was served in the morning! it couldn't be that hard to make something for a few couples, if you can bake eggs in the morning you can improvise a little menu too! We enjoyed the food in town more, and for the same money you get better food! For cocktails tough its 100% recommended !

I stumbled upon this restaurant in the Nya Hotel and had heard of Keilor Sanchez. I was overjoyed to find him here and the dishes he prepared were absolutely amazing! I had the skirt steak and it was savory and heavenly. Dessert was just as exquisite, while delicate. It was by for one of the best experiences while visiting Montezuma and if you find yourself in the Nicoya Peninsula, I highly suggest you visit Ubin for a dining experience you will remember.Thank you very much for your comments and at Ubin we really hope you are able to return soon to Montezuma and visit us again!

One of the great pleasures of Santa Teresa is outdoor dining, and it's even better when the beautiful restaurant is on the beach. Delicious and attractively presented cocktails, and more interesting wine list (than others in Santa Teresa), and creative Latin inspired dinners -- together with a palate-cleansing shot of cucumber gazpacho and a tamarind-infused shot to round out the meal. We had driven by this establishment several times and finally decided to go there for dinner. What a delightful experience! The employees are the best! Although the menu is limited, we were not disappointed with our choices. My husband ordered the steak, and I got the mini hamburgers. In my opinion, they weren't so mini! Everything was delicious. The grounds are very interesting with games and a small pool. The only complaint I have is there needs to be more lighting in the parking area. But other than that, we had a great time and will definitely return.

We went for a birthday dinner with my husband. The menu is small but it's sure to please everyone. We shared the tuna tartare for appetizer which was delish - avocado, tuna sashimi with just a hint of sesame oil and wasabi and topped with mango. Served with fresh patacones - plantain chips. For main course we had the special of the day which was BBQ pork bandiola - literally falling apart from being cooked so tender with roasted potatoes and a fresh Asian slaw. And the Tropical shrimps stir-fried in coconut oil with pineapple and rice and Asian slaw.Portions were really filling. Menu had local brewed beers, wine and cocktails. Small place but super quaint. You might need to share a table if it's super busy. Fairly priced for quality and portion size. Definately recommend and will go back for that tuna tartare and to try their poke bowls.
