We offer a variety of tours such as scuba diving and snorkeling, mountain and volcano hikes, white water rafting, horseback riding, mountain biking, ATV tours and Zip Line/Canopy tours. We used this tour company last Christmas for several excursions. (Yes I am late in posting, but it was that magical!) We loved every single minute of our time with these guys! We hiked Curu Park and did the Bioluminescent Bay tour and the next day traveled the country on 4 wheelers. So informative! All of our senses were overwhelmed with the beauty and excitement we experienced. A must do!

The Ara Project

In remote, jungle covered hills on the Pacific coast, The Ara Project, a conservation NGO dedicated to the survival of Costa Rica's two macaw species is working to breed and release young birds into areas where they once flew free. Guests can book tours at our Punta Islita centre where they have the opportunity to view released Scarlet macaws in the wild. They will hear about the work The Ara Project does and why it is so important. Tours run for an hour and aim to inform guests of the project's work, the plight of these birds in the wild and what we can all do to help them.

Bring water and solid hiking shoes!! The terrain is steep but well worth the swim when you get to the base of the waterfall. Beautiful trees line the rocky river bank and path. So many photo ops, you will not be disappointed. Just take care to have steady footing. An injury out here would be difficult to respond to by local emergency personal.

We've been here two years in a row and have seen a grand total of two other humans. Plenty of picnic tables with shade provided by palm trees. The scenery is beautiful, and the beach is good for walking. Unlike the Beaches further south, this beach is steeper and rockier and the surf is quite a bit rougher. That being said, this is the place for a quiet beach day.
