We had dinner here and it was not as we expected. Of the six meals we had, one was excellent, one ok, two so and so and two no good at all. Quite pricey for Italian standards. A Monday night and a restaurant with people looking to find a table speaks volumes for the food and service. Arrived early for a good but different beer before an excellent meal. The restaurant is located in the old town in an old building. The distribution into differ the rooms makes for a cosy atmosphere. The decoration is minimalist with taste and great care for every detail, the tableware is beautiful. In this agreeable atmosphere you get a quality of food which fully justifies the one star rating of the Michelin guide. The menu is attractive. The cuisine is creative, sometimes even quite audacious but never too much. I had a dessert with salt mint granita which I found very appealing. The main dish, kidneys, was impeccable. Service is attentive and efficient too. This is a place to be remembered for the next visit in this town!

I visited this restaurant after hearing many positive comments. They are all true! My friend and I are clearly not Italian, and Maurizio, understanding this, greeted us in English at the entry way. He then told the server that we are English speaking, which was a lovely beginning touch. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and served, and the fish was very fresh. We hesitated to try the carpaccio, since it was our first time at Brooklyn Club, but we will definitely experiment with it the next time around. One thing to note is that the tables are sufficiently far apart to allow for conversation, which isn't always the case in popular spots. There is live music on some nights, and it will be fun to try that too.Dear Mrs Helen, I remeber wery well your visit; Than you so mach for your appreciation and the staff and myself are waiting for you for tasting carpaccio.Best regards.

This restaurant is very central, not far from piazza grande. It does only (or almost) meat. If you fancy a steak, this is the place. He quality is excellent! Portions are extremely generous. I could not finish my dish.

I know this restaurant from few years and I like to have a lunch break here when I'm in the are for business: fresh food, local cuisine, helpful service and welcoming staff. Some starters, a wide list of first dishes and second one, big salad for a one-dish, dessert and, if you can, an interesting wine list.

We stayed at Best Western just a mile away from Magnagallo but our GPS had some difficulties to position the place which is at the exit to the Bologna-Milano autostrada. We ate there three evenings in a row. This says it all. Let's start with the Borghelo, a local crepe served several evenings as an entree. The place consists of a very large room with plenty of tables attended by not more than 2 to 3 waiters who are always in a friendly rush and assisted by an elderly gentleman, apparently the owner. The place is frequented by locals who come in larger groups for anniversaries but also smaller ones. Further, it is visited by local people who stay at the attached three star hotel. Very nice and mainly casual atmosphere. The restaurant offers free digestives and pays special attention to the customers with additional pasta to be tasted. The duck we had was slightly on the hard side but all in all the food was very good. Prices are acceptable.
