Elegant dining experience.Although there was limited vegetarian options on the menu (the restaurant specialises in fish dishes) we enjoyed a beautiful meal of spinach and ricotta tortelloni in sage butter and typical Modena deserts. All paired with a beautiful light sparkling rose wine. The waiter spoke excellent English.Catered for nut allergy without a problem.A little pricey but worth it for a romantic and classy dining experience. Obvious a place for locals rather than tourists which makes it a more authentic dining experience.Would highly recommend.

This was a suggestion from a local friend, and it was worth visiting. Some km away from Modena, in an old secluded mill, beautiful place. Home made high quality local food, everything we tasted was enjoyable, with a special mention to the many chocolate deserts. Nice attention by Carlo, made us feel confortable. Meno male che esistono ancora posti che anche a cena fanno menù fisso a prezzo calmierato. Alla modica cifra di â¬14 ho mangiato un primo un secondo un contorno Acqua vino e caffè. Certo non sei un gran Gourmet ma il cibo è buono e cucinato in modo decoroso. Va benissimo

We stayed at Best Western just a mile away from Magnagallo but our GPS had some difficulties to position the place which is at the exit to the Bologna-Milano autostrada. We ate there three evenings in a row. This says it all. Let's start with the Borghelo, a local crepe served several evenings as an entree. The place consists of a very large room with plenty of tables attended by not more than 2 to 3 waiters who are always in a friendly rush and assisted by an elderly gentleman, apparently the owner. The place is frequented by locals who come in larger groups for anniversaries but also smaller ones. Further, it is visited by local people who stay at the attached three star hotel. Very nice and mainly casual atmosphere. The restaurant offers free digestives and pays special attention to the customers with additional pasta to be tasted. The duck we had was slightly on the hard side but all in all the food was very good. Prices are acceptable.

Tipical local food, re-visited, made with passion and self grown erbs, right on the back of the restaurant; they use only selected ingredients from the area; chef is amazing, just ask about him and he will show you the erbs garden.service is excellent, they speak some English and atmosphere is warm and elegant. It's right on the lake, you can enjoy the sunset. Perfect for relaxing dinner in a quite area with really good food.

Fussy place full of seemingly underemployed waiters. One puts parmesan on your table the other one removes it and so on and on. The vegetable soup was far from being authentically italian. It might have even contained soup powder. The pasta we ordered was quite cold, looked like it was taken from deep freeze and boiled for too short a time. The restaurant is located at the Best Western hotel of Campogalliano and it seems to be frequented by the contained audience of the motel.Reading his review I noticed much superficiality . The cheese goes put the need and taken away when finished . The vegetable is cooked at low temperature to preserve the freshness and crispiness . The pasta is homemade by my family . Next time I'll show you the production .... being a restaurant inside un'albergo , I'm not surprised that there were hotel guests, do not you think ? ! ?

A beautiful restaurant in a beautiful location.The food is traditional, and very good and prices are very reasonable. The customers were mainly locals (which is usually a very good indication for the quality of food). Our waitress was very nice, and her English was good - which really added to our overall eperiance. the overall atmosphere was very relaxed and inviting, and we would definitly come back.If you get the chance - seat outside, they have a beautiful garden.

I had the S.Stefano lunch in this location. The local was full booked and totally busy but the service was absolutely excellent; the young lady waitress was very welcoming and skilfull.The quality of the dishes are above the line and the fish is really fresh.4 stars only for 2 points: the floor bathroom is too small and my grandma was is trouble to get in and we waited a bit for the appetizer and the dessert was not served together.Anyway I will come again here!I strongly recommend this restaurant especially for romantic dinner.
