Pretty much of what can be said is in the title...The place is a typical small town "osteria" (or "trattoria"), with a bit more of attention to the location. The owner is from Puglia, the cook from Sicily and both have been widely contaminated with Lombardy taste, so if you want to appreciate a mix of italian food cultures this is the place.The menu is very wide (about 15 appetizers, 15 first dishes, 15 second dishes, several home-made sweets, etc) as well as the wine list; uncommon for a small town restaurant in this area is the fact that most of the dishes are based on fish and they are also very good (this relates with the origins of the staff..).On lunch they have a fixed menu for 10 euro and the place is quite crowded, in the evening things change radically (as usual in Milano), the food is only a la carte and the price ranges in 25-35 euro.Must try dishes (of course one of them..): Cassoela (seasonal), Maialino al forno (baked pork), Palermitana fish. Excellent are the home made cakes, try them.The staff is very kind but be aware that they do not speak english very well (they will try their best in any case to communicate in some way), the place can arange for gluten-free food (they have gluten free bread, pasta and everything), for vegetarian food (even though this is not a place I would recommend for a vegetarian meal), for pork-free food, etc.

Wonderful service, beautiful yet simple ambience - not too pretentious - perfect for a family dinner with large tables that can hold 14 or 18 easily. A perfect menu of Lombardia specialities - served with grace and a very reasonable price.

The location is nice - a little bit in the countryside south of Milan and the athmosphere inside really cosy. To say it together with Tina Turner "Simply the best"!! They are special. A very nice setting, old Lombardy style farmhouse in the countryside. The restaurant itself was a trattoria type presentation. The appetizers were creative and of good quality. First and second courses were the right amount. The dessert was very interesting and tasty. I would have definitely taken seconds and thirds on this offering. Although it was quite late and the main kitchen was closed (and the Hotel Comtur had no food in the evening - and not much at their breakfast buffet either!), the Ristorante Vecchia Stazione (near the bus station) was able to provide very good pizzas and coffee.

The restaurant is really nice and people are totally helpful. We had two kids in the table and personnel helped us cooking food for them when we asked, without waiting time.We had a mix of fish starters(shrimps and more), then orecchiette and pasta with fish. Totally perfect.Desserts were tasty and home made. Not cheap but it worth a visit for sure.

The place is ideal both for business meals or your family time...I tried in both occasions. I really loved this little restaurant unsuspectably located by the county road. Quaint, cosy, with bright warm porch and veranda and some sort of Provence style, was a strike of good luck. I ended up there by chance due to proxiity with a local clinic on a special day like this so I quite willingly welcomed a fixed and opulent menu that is not quite like me. However, despite a full house and a challenging 8 course menu they did quite well. Impeccable service, perfect rythm, friendly approach, every dish well prepared, accurate, well laid out and never banal. Special thanks to the staff that bravely welcomed my Great Dane of 80 kilos with a smile and sat us at the table by the kitchen door. As usual this show stopper conveniently sprawled on his mat drew the attention of all the kids but waitresses patiently mantained order and dodge them while serving. These days a true pet friendly restaurant is definitely a plus. Thanks and Merry Christmas !
