Enjoyed an early evening supper with my husband and adult son. Quite a nice friendly restaurant with friendly staff. We were too early for the entertainment. My husband enjoyed the Cottage Pie, my son devoured his fish and chips and I had the Chicken Burger.

We hadn’t a reservation and the place was throbbing. Spoke to a waiter who sorted us a seat - thank you David who also guided us advisedly through the menu. The special rib of beef was exceptional and my wife loved her chicken. We also next day had a cheeseboard which was also faultless. Location wise opposite the main Connelly Train Station this is an exceptionalRestaurant. Hi PCliveR,Thank you for visiting the cookhouse not once but twice during your stay at the Address and The North Star Hotel. Its great to read that you found Davids hospitality and our signature dishes to be so enjoyable.Thank you for the great feedback and we do hope to have the pleasure of your company again soon,Kind regardsPeter B

Brannigan's

After reading the reports about Brannigan's we decide to give them a try. It was early evening, we went in a found a table. We were approached immediately asking if we were eating, menus were brought to us straight away.We both decided what we wanted and ordered with a drink. The food arrived after about 10 minutes, it was hot and tasty. I had lamb shank, my wife had soup as she was not that hungry. It was certainly a lively and a traditional pub, it reminded me of pubs in the UK years gone by. Plenty of noise (mostly people talking and laughing) which was nice to hear.Would I go again yes, tried to go on the Saturday night after Dublin boys in blue beat Kerry. Sadly we couldn't get anywhere near it. There were hundreds of people on the street outside, and the pub full to capacity.Maybe next time...Thank you for taking the time to leave this review, we are sorry you were disappointed with your meal. We take pride in only serving the highest quality ingredients.Kind regards,

We had a wide ranging menu and all of us got something nice. Reasonably priced for evening food in a lovely location in a landmark pub in Dublin.

Speaking of the latter genius, one of the dessert choices is Bob Dylan Blueberry Cheesecake. From the lunch menu we had steak and a fish dish. Following up with dessert, everything delicious.Pleasant décor and ambiance are hallmarks of the space. With lovely staff and good value it was a grand pause.
