Quite a few restaurants were closed in Polignano as it was Monday night and this included the restaurant we had intended on visiting.Frankly, weâre pleased it was closed as this establishment in Via Roma was superb.Itâs easy to know when youâve found a good restaurant as the service speaks volumes. Here Lorenzo, our waiter along with his female colleagues were exceptional.The atmosphere was really good, the soft jazz was spot on and of course the food dishes topped it all off. The salads were fresh, the pasta and fish dishes brilliant and the Tiramisu was the icing on the cake!We are in Polignano for three nights and despite the choice of eating places weâve decided to go back tomorrow night.

Sono stata ha pranzo in questo ristorante con la mia famiglia a pranzo di domenica usufruendo di un coupon,tutto il menu è stato rispettato correttamente.Il locale è molto bello e accogliente con personale qualificato e attento.Il menu una vera delizia per gli occhi e il palato,abbiamo degustato prima una serie di antipasti ben presentati e dal gusto unico,per quanto riguarda i primi,ottime orecchiette al grano arso con funghi e spaghetti ai frutti di mare.Come secondo una deliziosa entrecote,infine un dolcetto.Io personalmente consiglio vivamente questo ristorante perché merita tantissimo,perché anche lâocchio vuole la sua parte e qui nn viene deluso.Torneremo per provare anche la pizzeria.

Was recommended by someone in the area... a bit in the countryside between Castellana Grotte and Alberobello and navigators may not quite get you there. That said, it's a great place... huge dining area both inside and out. Cheese plate was delicious... I enjoyed some mixed meat while my wife had the tortellone. Our friends were not thrilled with the tagliata but I think they were expecting something different. That said, we liked it.

We stumbled upon Antichi Sapori on our way from Polignano a Mare to Ostuni and were treated to the best meal we had in Italy. Everything was perfect about it - sitting outside with a gentle breeze blowing, tables covered with white linen - the epitome of an Italian lunch. We shared Puglia burrata and salumi, bocconcini and tomato salad, amongst other dishes. The winning dish was undoubtedly the lasagna -I've never tasted such delicate lasagna, with paper-thin sheets of pasta covered in a delectable meat sauce, very light on the cheese, which was beyond perfection. The staff was welcoming and service was impeccable. If travelling in Puglia, this osteria is well worth a detour. You won't be disappointed.After months that we can answer, we remember the votive stay in our restaurant in the cool of our two trees. Al Pozzo was recommended by the owners of our villa, a short drive away. I wish we'd eaten there every day now, as we ate in some terrible Pugliese restaurants during our two week stay in the area, which is a shame given the plentiful, natural ingredients of the area. This restaurant has a small menu and no off-putting photos of the food. It is off the beaten track and family run - with a lady making fresh orrechietti at the back. The waiter was incredibly helpful and honest. Though his English was as limited as my Italian, we got by. We ate in the restaurant twice and had take away pizzas one night. The highlight for me and another of our party was the chicory and fava bean primi dish. A very typical dish of the area. It was lovely if you like veggies. The meat and pasta dish eaten by one of our party was also excellent apparently. The waiter explained that this was a special dish eaten on Sundays in the area. The meal was followed by a lovely semifredo. Good food, friendly, relaxed, unaggressive service. The lesson of the holiday was only eat in restaurants recommended by local residents. Many are closed at this time of the year unfortunately, but, thankfully, this one wasn't.

As a solo traveller, I stumbled upon this Ristorante as it beagfn to rain one evening. They were closed to the public but had an young boys B-day party in full swing. When they found I was an American staying at the adjoining Hotel, they set a table for me and served an excellent meal. The young Italians were most fascinated to have a stranger in their presence, especially one who dared to eat alone. for 20 E I had a Antipasto di Mare of squid, octupus etc that was very good; Primo Piatti of Orecchiette with pomodoro, acqua minerale and 1/2 litre of house vino. Pretty good...I recommend it.

At Pizza&Spaghi, as the name say, you can taste really good pizzas and spaghetti, the two most famous Italian foods :)My suggestion is to try their spaghetti with lobster and tomato... If you don't like pasta, you can have any kind of pizza you can imagine! For starters we took a good "impepata di cozze", an hot dish of mussels cooked with tomatoes, a little bit of onion and pepper. Alessandro, the young owner, is really kind and professional, just as as all the waiters. Quality food and reasonable prices... The restauran is always full. I suggest to book a table in advance.

We were there for a wedding and had the most delicious raw fish in years! The venue is villa surrounded by olive trees and located in the plateau of the Lower Murgia. Quite small, the restaurant is located in the heart of town, in one of the beautiful, typical side streets. Very simple in its decor (plastic tablecloth), it features numerous local dishes. The house starter includes numerous tastes, literally bites, of many different things so might be a good choice for those who wish to try a bunch of different starters - does contain a lot of vinegar-based dishes. The orecchiette were good.

This restaurant ia also a take away but don't let that put you off. The restaurant is charming with a lot of attention to detail in the decor. The waiter was actually the owner and he spoke a little English but had a mens completely in English which was very helpful. The food was excellet and beautifully presented. Very relaxing with attentive service.
