Quite small, the restaurant is located in the heart of town, in one of the beautiful, typical side streets. Very simple in its decor (plastic tablecloth), it features numerous local dishes. The house starter includes numerous tastes, literally bites, of many different things so might be a good choice for those who wish to try a bunch of different starters - does contain a lot of vinegar-based dishes. The orecchiette were good.

Last Wednesday and Friday I and my family dined in 4 in this Macelleria /Braceria in Castellana Grotte. And we experimented several local specialities based on Meat mixed with local cheese/mushrooms/etc... More we enjoyed the best steak of locally grown veal. Taste and quality were beyond imagination, difficult to find such tasteful and tenderness in italian meet ( we had something similar or better only in Argentina and Chile). More, many of the Meat starters were very original receipts and delicious.Not to forget about very reasonable prices 58/60 euro in 4 persons (including starter, dessert, wine, digestive) , as well to note the very Friendly and attentive service and clean new dining room.The Owner him sell explained any Meat Dish at order, and showed all certificates of Italian locally grown animals.

The food is pretty good if you are lucky enough to understand a little bit of what you are ordering. The staff is not speaking English and the menu is not translated. We managed to get something that tasted amazing and it was good value for money.In un ristorante, ritengo che sia importante il cibo piuttosto che la lingua del menu.E, come molti clienti stranieri pensano, è bello per loro imparare ad ordinare nella lingua del Paese che stanno visitando.Io non ho mai trovato un menu in Italiano all'estero e mi auguro di non trovarlo mai.e poi, come tradurre "strascinate" o "cardoncelli" o "brasciole"?Si perde la poesia e 2000 e passa anni di cultura a chiamarle "home made pasta" , "tipical mushrooms" o "rolled beef".Piuttosto, ha ragione sul fatto che i miei ragazzi dovrebbero imparare l'inglese, speriamo bene nel prossimo Governo e Ministero dell'Istruzione.Thank u so much for for appreciating our food, see you soon.

Finally returned to Anne's Place in Monopoli, and was able to take them to a restaurant they recommended, and it was a great place to go. Set in the countryside outside of Castellana Grotte, its a big villa in its own grounds. We ate on one of the terraces behind the villa. Greeted by friendly staff, who were attentive without being intrusive, we took the antipasta della casa and it was brilliant. Followed by seafood pasta and a beautiful piece of beef, served with new potatoes and grilled vegetables. The house red was excellent. A small shared desert, coffee and a grappa finished the meal off.

Place is quite small located among charming streets. Food is really good - bruschettas perfect try the one with an egg and truffles. Very good cavatelli with meat or seafood. Interesting thing is that You can try traditional bread pulpettes imitating the meet once - it is very local as the region was very poor.Nice service and friendly atmosphere

Tasty burgers with the addition of scormozza cheese and sundries tomatoes, yummy paprika chips and lovely beer! Would definitely recommend if you want to veer away from the traditional Italian Cuisine of an evening!

We booked a table at this humble looking restaurant. The name "Osteria" also suggests simple, low cost Italian food. We ordered some dishes and were amazed by the quality of the food and staff! We first got some appetizers which were beautiful, original and very tasty. We then got the dishes we ordered. The waiters knew their stuff, because they explained each dish and when we asked a little more, they knew the ingredients, how it's prepared, etc. All the food was beautifully plated, and all dishes had incredible flavor. The chef came out and had a chat with every guest to check if they were happy. When I went inside I saw 5 or 6 people working in a huge, very professional, very clean kitchen. Not what you expect from an Osteria in a little dead-end street. The bill we paid was very reasonable for one of the best Italian meals I ever had. We went back the following day and ordered all different dishes. Just as good as the first night. If I ever get a chance to go back, I sure will!Semplicemente grazie alla prossima.

This restaurant ia also a take away but don't let that put you off. The restaurant is charming with a lot of attention to detail in the decor. The waiter was actually the owner and he spoke a little English but had a mens completely in English which was very helpful. The food was excellet and beautifully presented. Very relaxing with attentive service.

Vacationing in the south of Italy from Chicago, USA, in mid December I decided to visit for lunch Papaperta with my family. We've been welcomed by the friendly and capable Domenico and his staff. Really accessible price, five stars both for food quantity and quality, served by careful and warm staff. Amazing the view and the location surrounded by traditional Apulia countryside and the popular trulli. Highly recommended!

Interessante la scelta di separare la parte hamburgeria dalla braceria. Bello lâambiente con tavoli ampi e tanto spazio tra un tavolo e lâaltro. Carne cotta alla perfezione e molto saporita ma ciò che ho apprezzato di più sono state le proposte di antipasti e primi piatti. Originali e ben curati. Ottimo anche il dolce. Staff gentile e disponibile.
