Reviewed By RachieodMy two friends and I stayed here for two nights and oh my goodness... we had the most wonderful experience of Italian hospitality. The beautiful breakfast cooked everyday, the gorgeous Italian countryside outside our windows, our incredible hosts and the beautiful animals on the property. We also had an authentic Italian cooking class that was hosted by the wife and husband of the B&B. My girlfriends and I had such fun drinking wine and making pizza, pasta and Ragu whilst sharing stories with the owners. What a fantastic holiday and escape from the city! ♥️

Quiet family-run hotel with warm atmosphere
Reviewed By Pachacutec1I can fully recommend this hotel. It is situated in a quiet street of Pianoro. There are clean and tidy rooms without anything to complain about. What I appreciated most was the warm and hearty atmosphere of the house given by the wife of the chef supporting me with anything I needed within my stay there.

Very warm and friendly people that makes us feel more than welcome. The food was delicious and excellent wine . The wine tasting and tour was well conducted by the daughter Cristiana. The founder Mr.Alexandro, sat down with us for a drink ? and told us all about the history of his wine making , most interesting indeed. His son Lorenzo was most hospitable and generous showing us around their family estates. We had a most unforgettable time and will certainly go back again. Highly recommended 5*.

Best one star hotel you could find
Reviewed By Neville_GOnly a one star but, as others have said, this could easily match some two or three star establishments. The room was large and very clean with excellent facilities. Breakfast was a bit of a let down. It was a do-it yourself affair with coffee machine and plastic wrapped croissants. We happened to arrive on my birthday. When I asked advice on the best restaurant within walking distance the manager insisted that the best place was in the next town. So he drove us there and collected us later. And he was right - an excellent meal at Trattoria Lambertini. If you want a good clean room where everything works then this is for you. This hotel was genuinely welcoming and excellent value for money. Thank you Hotel Zighy!

Reviewed By RayBarkleyMy father and I spent five nights here in October of 2014. We had a fantastic time. Daniel, who is the chef, cooked delicious meals every night. Many of the ingredients they grow right at the farm. We really came away from this place feeling like we have made new friends. The hotel is very comfortable, and the scenery is beautiful and can't be beat. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation and to meet some wonderful people. Ray Barkley

A great place to stay that feels like home!
Reviewed By janius2017The apartment is clean and cozy equipped with everything to make one feel like home. It has a very pretty backyard to relax, have a sunbath or even make a barbecue. It is centrally located in a lovely green neighborhood, within walking distance to everything I need for comfortable stay: a gym, a swimming pool and a supermarket. Pianoro is a really pretty town, which feels more like a village: very quiet, immersed in the green, close to the nature, but with excellent infrastructure at the same time. It is a great starting point to see the most beautiful cities of the northern Italy like Venice or Florence which are within 2 hours drive. The hosts are really devoted to the B&B, very helpful, caring, easygoing, open minded. Great to spend time with and have conversations! For those who play music this place is particularly worth visiting!

Overpaid
Reviewed By Coach_ClarkIt was hard to find a hotel in Bologna during our March 2018 vacation, so we stayed here. It was between Florence and our next destination which was Florence. That's the best thing about the hotel. It was dated. The TV was absurdly small. Bathroom wasn't the cleanest it could be. Breakfast was more continental with very few hot or cooked items. Lastly, we paid $150 through Priceline. Then when checking out the Manager (Owner?) charged us 10 more euros for "tax". Every other hotel we stayed in during our vacation in Italy only charged 2euro per person tax. 10 euros is not a huge amount I admit, but we had already overpaid and this was an unpleasant surprise after an unpleasant stay. It had the feeling that we were taken advantage of because we were tourists, but perhaps there is a 10 euro tax in Bologna and nowhere else. I wouldn't stay here again.
