We were visiting our friends in Bologna for a week and they surprised us by arranging a prix fixe wine dinner in the vineyard at Podere Riosto. It was was 35 euro per person and we were blown away by the experience and quality! Honestly, it was a highlight of our trip! The event started with a tour of the winery along with a glass of sparking rose. We then had time to mingle with guests while they served us a bounty of delicious antipasto along with an open bar of sparking wine, served by their sommelier, David, who came around to each table throughout the evening to discuss the wines and answer any questions we had. After antipasto, we took our seats as they served us a delicious three-course meal paired with wine from their vineyard. We stayed until 2am chatting with David and enjoying the incredible wine and surroundings. It was such a memorable experience and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area who appreciates good food and wine! We even bought a few bottles to bring home with us!Thank you !!! Siamo venuti su consiglio di un'amica che era già venuta in questo ristorante e ne aveva parlato bene..Infatti ne abbiamo avuto la conferma.Abbiamo letteralmente 'divorato', tortellini in brodo, abbondanti, e tortelloni con funghi porcini e ricotta di pecora, sublimi e nn aggiungo altro..I secondi, avremo il piacere di assaggiarli, alla prossima occasione.In compenso abbiamo scelto i dolci fatti in casa, come semifreddo di meringhe, con amarene, e crostata di frutta con marmellata, accompagnata da vino rosso dedicato.Infine due buoni caffè, on compagnia di due clienti simpaticissimi, Maria e Giorgio, storici clienti come del resto il locale..Un plauso ai camerieri per velocità nel servizio, e simpatia.Non perdetevi questa gran cucina.

This is my favourite restaurant in or around Bologna: Armando, the chef, is a gastronomic genius: he makes perfect traditional dishes (his tagliatelle al ragù, for instance are spectacular), and is also able to re-elaborate traditional ingredients and specialties in new fantastic experiences: try the passatelli asciutti with any of the sauces he presents. The ambience is cool and smart, Piero (the maitre) will be a great host for anybody (and speaks English, which is not so common in Italy).If you are in Bologna or around, this is certainly a place not to miss.

I went with some friends and their children. This place at the hills out of Bolonia is very style and the food was delicious! It's trendy ambiance mixed perfectly with the ecological and very tasty food. The service was great; it is actually not a proper restaurant but a group of friends who share their love for good food with invites. Worth the visit!thanks! See you soon!

We recently went to Loiano for the weekend with friends and searched hard for a couple of really good restaurants to enjoy throughout the short period we were there for. After much research I opted for Trattoria da Massimo and I have to say I don't regret it for a minute as we had one of the best meals we ever experienced there. The restaurant is small and family run and an excellent sign was that it was full of Italian patrons - a sure sign of a good meal!The food is exquisite, the choice of wine excellent, the ambiance perfect and the service couldn't be better.We certainly hope to return in the very near future!

On the advice of our villa owner we visited the Teamvua restaurant which is down a steep path at the side of a hotel come sushi bar. We arrived before 7 but had to wait until 730 for the kitchen to open. The staff were wonderful and looked after the four of us. My daughters had anti past of meats and cheeses which was devoured. I had an excellent steak and my wife had pasta. Lovely meal. Thanks to all the staff especially the girl from the kitchen who assisted with the translation. A lovely restaurant

We had a lunch here for 8 persons. Some friends from Bologna found it.We were the only persons for lunch so service was great.Food was very good and copious.Not far off the main higway linking Bologna to Florence -so a nice break from the highway and authentic local food.There is a Marconi museum nearby as well!
