Reviewed By wallyjeannieWe have stayed at this hotel at least five times, once bringing a relative with us. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We enjoy looking out over the water. The TV and other appliances WORK. (That's not always the situation. We've stayed in hotels/motels around the world.) We enjoy the breakfasts that send us onward on our travels. The dinners are good, but a bit pricey.

Reviewed By BlondeMedicOnce again, it was a perfect stay! We've stayed here at least 3x and every time is easy. The room had a facelift recently and was super clean. The beds are so comfortable. The shower head has a ton of water pressure. The ac blows very cold. The fridge and freezer and microwave are great to have available. Check in was fast and friendly. I love that you can just back your vehicle up to your door-super convenient. We will continue to book at this hotel wherever we're in Owen Sound!

Ok for a Comfort Inn but....
Reviewed By BarryKrbWe stayed here so that we can visit Tobermory. The hotel was fine for our long weekend needs but there are a few things to address. The hotel is not accessibility friendly for peeps who use a walker. My mother needs one because climbing steps is out of the question. We had to be creative as to how she can get down to our car. Second, the fact that housekeeping does not go into rooms disturbs me. We had to put out towels and wash cloths and trash-no the beds were not done at all. Considering we were fully vaccinated, we were not happy. Third, I was not happy of someone actually distributing breakfast. What are we little kids? Fourth, keurig makes lousy coffee. Why the hotel has it is beyond me-luckily Timmys was next door. Finally, one of the front desk clerks was rude to us-she criticized the US (my adopted country) for its overall handling of Covid. Because I was surprised on the protocols. Also they did not apply any points I got to the room charges. Think they can do some improvements-there is room for them.

Great staff, unclean room

The good is very little - bed- comfortable and linens clean Staff- kind and helpful (best part) Hallways are clean The bad/ugly Baseboard near door ripped up and wallpaper too (pic attached) Bathroom - dirty , shower curtain (see pic) pink with mildew and black mold spots. Floors-dirty on entrance and into room. AC/Heat - drywall chunks and dust inside (pic attached) Ceiling - multiple water stains Pool was open but hot tub/whirlpool was not … pool looked nice but didn’t use Definitely will not be back or recommend

Look at other places. Not worth the money
Reviewed By floydangel71We stayed at this hotel due to the closeness to the local hockey arena. We arrived and the check in process ran smoothly. The website states they sanitize and clean the rooms between guests. We stayed in room 110 June 3-5 and the room was not sanitized. Surfaces were not wiped down due to the amount of dust in the room. The bedroom windows were so filthy with dirt. The bathtub needs a deep clean and the bathroom floor was dirty. The base of the toilet has not been cleaned in a long time. I went to adjust the air con unit and the amount of filth in it floored me. We payed over 350 Canadian for the two nights and I am shocked that it is a Wyndom. They had a bagged breakfast which was 2 granola bars 2 Melba toasts a bottled water and a juice box. They did have coffee, a banana and a container of yoghurt Check out our photos

Over charged. Check your credit card statement
Reviewed By GoPlaces387202I stayed at the Diamond Motel a month ago. They told me they would take a $100 deposit and the $77 charge but the deposit would be refunded. It didn’t seem right and it felt like a scam. I was repeatedly told that I would not be charged the $100. The problems is that you don’t know that they charged you $177. Instead of $77 until you get your statement. How many people don’t closely check there statements. I don’t know but it’s a gravy train for them every time someone doesn’t. If you stay there check your credit card statement.
