The place is fantastic: colorful setup, delicious food, good margaritas and the service was quick for Haitian standards. We knew the prices were high (same as USA and Canada for this type of restaurant), but we were craving Mexican food and there isn't many options in Port-au-Prince. Then, the waitress brought our check: it was $45 PLUS a $10 tca+service charge. I asked her politely to explain it to me and she started acting awkward and said: that's how it is. I asked the cashier and she said the same thing. We went to many restaurants in Port-au-Prince and other cities in Haiti (and I asked around to know if other places were doing it), and never we were asked to pay service charge + tax. I would recommend the restaurant, but be aware of TAX+ other fees.Hello we are sorry for the confusion. There is a 10% TCA fee which is same for all business,and we have a 10% service charge because unfortunately it is not in everyones culture to tip the servers so this 10% goes straight to the servers. We ordered a steak au poivre with French fries. the fries were cold and the steak was super hard and dry, not tender at all. the sauce on the steak was even dry. when we told them that the food was not good, the waitress told us that if we did not pay, they will take it out of her check. Customer service does not exist in that place. DO NOT GO THERE.
