Our wedding reception

Reviewed By margaretcA1226KP

We had our wedding reception here and it was a dream!! The price was great; less than expected for such a beautiful place. The staff was always polite and helpful. Our coordinator, Ayah was super helpful and kind. The food and the setup was way more than what we were expecting. Our guests could not finish the amount of food in one night. We also got a complimentary suite for the night which was absolutely amazing!! We wished we had stayed there throughout our entire honeymoon ?. Overall expecting, ????? ten ? We can't wait to go back for our anniversary ❤

Wonderful Honeymoon Getaway

Reviewed By kaitlynncleghorn

We stayed here for a night for our mini-moon after our wedding in early June. The hotel, spa and gardens are absolutely breathtaking. Our room was clean and tidy. Our dinner at The Cannery Restaurant was delicious. My husband had the prime rib and I had the stuffed chicken. We also ate breakfast here the next morning as part of the bed and breakfast package. The staff were courteous and friendly. Everyone was quick to answer any questions. The spa was quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed a couples massage and then headed to the hot springs pool before getting ready for dinner. We will definitely be back in the future to celebrate anniversaries! The only feedback we have is that the beds could be a bit comfier. We definitely prefer a plush, soft bed and this one was on the firmer side. Thank you for making our mini-moon one to remember!

BEWARE: Scanning your bracelet opens you up to being overcharged

Reviewed By mikerZ3314NV

We went with a group of friends and their families. This place is nice but they give you a bracelet to scan for your purchases and link your credit card. This is where they overcharge you like no other. We purchased a lunch where they filled in their own tip after we signed the bill. Nachos a small frie and 2 drinks ended up costing 50 when the bills shown to us were $4.50 and $28 . My son played one game of bowling which is a cost of 7$ they charged us 30 and said we were a family of 4. After 2 weeks fighting for a refund they have done nothing. There are better places in Niagara Falls for families stay away from this scam. Other family in our group was overcharged $75 . BUYER BEWARE

Staff was amazing (Sherri). Rooms are huge. Beds are comfortable. Rooms are clean. Bar downstairs open until 1am and good available which is good given that the rest of the town closes down early. I would definitely stay here again.

Hilton has lost its charm and standards

Reviewed By J7600SWjoeb

I was very disappointed by my last stay at the Hilton in Niagara Falls. I have been coming to the hotel for over a decade now (minus during the last two years of the scamdemic). The Hilton spent a lot of money on renovations of the lobby and the addition of a new center but failed to upgrade (at least) their premium rooms overlooking the falls. The furniture hasn't changed and as such the beds were horrible (mattresses and headboards) and overdue for an upgrade. We were placed in room number 4857 and the shower drain was clogged. Water wasn't draining properly. The cooling system also doesn't function properly. The minute your turn off the fan, it gets a little humid. Customer service was not great when we confronted them with the unfortunate situation. We expected a full refund, a very legitimate request for a hotel that supposedly prides itself on its excellent delivery of services. I can honestly say that I will never step in the Hilton again at that location. It is no longer worthy of 3 stars even.

A fair, comfortable room

Reviewed By Smashing2

Stayed in a deluxe room which looked exactly like on the hotel/Marriott site. Room was comfortable. Bed was good. Mattress not hard not soft. Blankets were comfortable and not hot. Room air conditioner wasn't too loud. Couch could convert into a bed which wasn't advertised. Though the couch cushions themselves had no density as when sitting down I fell all the way through. Sink, microwave and mini fridge in the room. Included plates and utensils which were great to have when bringing back restaurant take out to eat in the room. Coffee maker wasn't great as the coffee pods were too large for the small machine. Coffee maker also wasn't clean as a past room guest must've made instant noodles in it as my coffee came out oily and smelling like noodles. Bathroom was a normal bathroom. Shower itself was good with waterfall option, strong pressure and quick to heat. Toiletries were the Westin "Heavenly" brand which came in bulk refillable bottles and easy to use. Outdoor pool required reservations which was easy enough to do. Gym didn't have that many machines or weights. Actually the pool and gym were rather small considering the number of rooms at this hotel. Parking is available underground with limited spaces and $20 + taxes. Internet wifi speed incredibly slow. Was getting less than 2 Mbps during my stay. Was faster just staying on my mobile phone's 4G. Standard TV in the room -- not a smart TV. TV was in a weird position as well being way too high if watching from the couch. No soundproofing at all with the door. Could easily and clearly hear conversations in the hallway when lying in bed. Service at the front desk was quick and fantastic. Overall a fair room but not great value for money. Prices seem to fluctuate between $310 - $600 CAD.

Excellent Wedding Reception Venue

Reviewed By mlahrkamp

The Briars Resort and Spa was the location for a wedding reception that we attended. As the weather was perfect, this reception was to be in a large tent on their immaculate kept grounds. The trees and flowers were well tended to and showed the care that their grounds staff lavished. The food and beverage for this event were excellent and managed by their Food and Beverage Manager David and his staff. I can say with all sincerity that he and his staff went above and beyond expectation. We would highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for a place to host their receptions, etc. P.S. We did not stay overnight at this resort, so cannot comment on the rooms.
