Reviewed By RobinyyThe overall impression I got from this castle and it's location are both magnificent. It is surrounded by an vast garden which is tastfully designed and invites you to stay for longer. My room had an ancient atmosphere yet with the comfort of modern hotel rooms. Just the wifi was a bit slow and there was a lack of plugs to connect my gadgets. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. I would have appreciated that people would wear masks indoors and that the air of the restaurant would be refreshed regularlay which was not the case at all. So I hope there will be no bad covid memory from this wonderful stay.

Clean , fresh and friendly with a history of hospitality over many years . This non heard of country place gives you a treat that many famous boutique hotels would be very envious about. Gasthaus Weingut should be a destination for all hospitalty schools to learn about how to provide service and good feeling among guests .

Nice Stay in Oberwessel
Reviewed By John SWe spent two nights at the Weinhaus Weiler during our recent "Rhine Roam". The hotel is perfectly located in town on a quiet street. Our accommodations included both a sitting room and bedroom with an updated bathroom - couldn't have been better. Bottles of sparkling water in both the room and hallways added a nice touch. The breakfast was fine (not the best on our trip as we found that we preferred buffets) and we found the Thai dinner to be just "OK". The staff was excellent and took care of all of our needs. All in all, we certainly would stay again but might eat elsewhere. John & Pam

Lovely hotel
Reviewed By josie kA wonderful hotel with beautiful views. We were there with another couple for a weekend. The family who run it are extremely friendly and helpful and they made us very welcome, they even rang us up to tell us we could check in early if we needed to. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We ate on the terrace in the hotel one evening and it was really delicious, well presented and professionally served. The breakfast was the best I have ever had in any hotel. You can tell that the family enjoy running their hotel because they do it with so much passion in everything. The hotel rooms are beautifully decorated, all individual and were spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. I would definitely go back and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Reviewed By tamapuOwners were nice and friendly. The rooms had enough space and they were clean. Food and wine tasted great and the portions were big. Breakfast tasted good, there was ok amount of options. Location was beautiful, there was a view to the wineyard and to the local old castle. There was private parking and no trafic because it located just outside of Oberwesel.

Reviewed By Rick_The_BuilderWe really enjoyed out time at Gasthaus Rheingoldschaenke, I want to go back. The outside eating area has amazing views over the valley and beoynd, its possible to see the owners vinyard as well. The food was wholesome and enjoyed by all the family - we had not planned to eat here every nght we were in Oberwesel, however we enjoyed the means that much we did. The owner produces his own wine, we recommend "Number-4", even taking 2 boxes home with us. Rooms are large, very clean and comfortable. The place has a very relaxed atmosphere. We had our dogs with us, the owner was happy for us to let them lounge on the grass next to where we spent the evening, they sleps in the car just outside our room window. There is a waling tour "Schwede-Bure-Tour", direct form the hotel - it took us most of the day to wander arround the hillside, and through the vinyards.
