Reviewed By SharonsjohnsontravelOur family of 7 celebrated Christmas in the Villa Rosa Chalet. It was the perfect, magical experience that we had hoped for. The chalet was spacious, comfortable beds, lots of towels, well stocked kitchen, large dining area...perfect in every way. Breakfast in the restaurant was great- my grandkids loved squeezing their own orange juice and timing their eggs. We had the best afternoon using the sleds and experiencing the beauty that was right on the property. Absolutely stunning! Did I mention the fabulous staff? This is a family owned and operated hotel...and they provided excellent care, service and took care of every detail. Anna was helpful and happy. It was the perfect place- we felt cared for and knew that we could get travel advice and help!

Reviewed By René NI stayed in the hotel by change whilst travelling for business in Austria. This hotel has a beautiful swimming pool and bar area. The breakfast they serve is one of the best I have ever had. The scenery (mountains) is lovely as well

Unforgettable
Reviewed By Alan RMy wife and I visited on our 40th wedding anniversary because we were looking for something special and we weren't disappointed. We chose a Shearings Fly/Tour package and everything was really well organised and run on their part. More later. The hotel is simply stunning, location-wise is just magnificent. Some of the current photos don't do it justice so I've added my more recent ones. The whole trip was well organised and executed. Our drivers were excellent and the coach load of tourers got along brilliantly. The evening events, trips and own time were great and we would love to go back again soon. The highlight of the entire trip was undoubtedly Stefan. Those on the trip would know exactly what I mean by that. His work rate was something to behold and nobody went hungry - or thirsty - on his shift, which was every evening. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Worth is weight in gold. A beautiful hotel in the truest spirit of Austrian hospitality. Warning though. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. You could however ask for hot water for your room - nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Oh and the hotel, like the rest of Austria, was absolutely spotless.

Reviewed By 105gabrielasI highly recommend this place. The area ia very nice. Rooms are clean. Breakfast was excellent. Nothing to complain. The personal was very nice and wait for us because we arrived a little bit late. So if you have any problems I think they will find a solution to help you. You should visit this place!

Reviewed By Paul KMy wife and I have a 40 year history with Hotel Schmiedboden which has been under new management since 2019. Christian has remodeled the rooms which are modern and lovely. The dining room is authentic warm and Tyrolean but was not open due to lack of kitchen staff and servers. Breakfast was really nice. This is a gem of a location, a very friendly and committed new manager who speaks excellent English. His recommendations for recreation and dining in the surrounding area were right on. The location is ideal for all season activities. Would highly recommend to anyone for lodging in the St. Johann, Oberndorf in Tyrol or Kitzbuhel area. Looking forward to the restaurant reopening.

Reviewed By Ambra2000Sinceramente pensavo di trovare la solita famiglia austriaca che cerca di guadagnare qualche soldino con il proprio bed and breakfast, invece ho trovato una famiglia tedesca, lei Kerstin veramente in gamba parlava inglese benissimo, molto fine e gentile veramente, la casa è veramente un gioiello, curata nei minimi particolari, la colazione in soggiorno con tavolata grandissima in legno, mica la solita saletta con le panche sfigate. La camera luminosa, calda, pulitissima e attrezzata con angolo bar, con una vista sulla montagna piena di pini . La signora aveva due papere che in inverno a - 17 ° C nuotavano in un piccola piscina riscaldata ( giusto per far capire come la signora si prende cura della casa e di chi ci vive dentro). Einfach nur schön! Wir kommen wieder!
Reviewed By 302angelikasWunderschön gelegener, familiengeführter Bauernhof. Hier fühlt man sich sofort wohl. Die Hausherrin ist total nett und gesellig. Wir waren mit einer 10-köpfigen Gruppe (ein Teil sind schon Stammgäste) hier und wurden sehr herzlich umsorgt. Die Zimmer sind sauber, sehr gemütlich und haben Zugang zum Balkon mit toller Aussicht in die Bergwelt. Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen. Der Grillabend in der kleinen Hütte im Garten war der Hammer! Die Infrarot-Wärmekabine aus Zirbenholz ebenfalls! Wir hatten viel Spaß! Vielen Dank Lisbeth! Wir kommen wieder!

Reviewed By Victoria VGreat place to soak up the unique Tyrol atmosphere! The location is quite and peaceful, but still close to big ski resorts (SkiWelt, KitzSki, SkiStar St.Johann in Tirol, Fieberbrunn) and perfect to explore the region. The ski bus to St.Johann in Tirol/Oberndorf ski area stops nearby (Line B) as well as regular buses to St.Johann in Tirol and Kitzbühel (4012, 4000). The train station is also easily reached (10 min walk). But anyway a rented car will make getting to the ski slopes and sightseeing much quicker and more convenient. The nearest big supermarket MPREIS is in 8 min walk. The apartment itself is immaculately clean, bright, secure, well-heated and sooooo cozy! Comfy beds, free baby cot and high chair for a child. Balcony with the stunning view. You will find there everything you may need during your vacation, all linens/towels and basics for the stay are provided by the host. We felt so home! Elisabeth is very friendly and proactive host, quick to respond to any issues we had. Really warm welcome and great communication. Highly recommend for those visitors to Tyrol who want comfortable, quiet and no-fuss accomodation.
