ROBERT STEWARTS SPIRIT GROCERS is located on a narrow country road that threads its way out of the leafy glades of south Belfast via the Upper Malone precinct. The road continues onwards in the general direction to the town of Lisburn which in recent year
Called in for lunch on Saturday which is not really unusual for us as regular visitors.Lunch was fab as always and great menu choice. Served by fast and efficient staff. Great place to meet up with friends in a quirky little pub with big atmosphere. Craic is mighty, as they say! What saddens me are reviews that don't describe the place and vibe too accurately. As grown up reviewers you would think that people could turn the other cheek if you have a personality clash with someone? I thought as you got older this was easier to do? But, obviously not for some.Hi Willash88 Sure it's nice to be nice and twice as nice to know how to be nice. That stated your observation re " reviews that don't describe a venue and vibe too accurately"-----is on the money. This as opposed to opinion on or about other homo sapiens-- who work in a premises but may not be on duty at the time of a visit of other patrons or indeed perhaps no longer employed at the premises is a "bum steer". Thank you for your input

James St. is the coming together of two of Belfastâs best restaurants, James Street South Restaurant and The Bar and Grill at James St.The new offering is the best of the Bar and Grill's menu with a few light touches to the fine cooking of James Street So
Went for pre theatre menu, provided reluctantly by staff, who were very keen to promote drinks before your backside has touched a seatI had steak, smothered in salt..... I hate my food covered in salt! Arrived with few fries and that was it, not even touch of salad,Looked at wine list in my own opinion overpriced, hence I passed on it.Felt cold even though I sat by a low radiator

Called in one day around 3pm and was able to get a meal. Nice ambience but empty at that time. Food was tasty but I found portions a bit small. Would I assume be a lot better with atmosphere but we were there at an odd time. Worth a visit.

A touch of affordable luxury in the centre of Belfast, The Ivory Restaurant is the fashionable foodies dream destination. Situated on the third floor of House of Fraser (but with its own entrance on Chichester Street), looking down on to the city below
We visited The Ivory in Belfast, Victoria Square for our anniversary. It has bright airy feel with contemporary design. The menu had a good selection of dishes, light bites and mains. We opted for the bread selection with a variety of dips for starters. The bread was warm and fresh and the dips full of flavour. For our main my wife had the mackerel accompanied by a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and I had the parfait and shared a portion of triple cooked chips. Again everything was well presented, full of flavour and satisfying. Throughout our meal Eamonn looked after us. His customer service was excellent even to the point of trying to tempt us with dessert but we resisted. Maybe the next time.It is slightly expensive but the food and wine are high quality. We were lucky with the weather and finished with a drink on the terrace. A good restaurant to celebrate an anniversary or family event. Staff are welcoming, attentive and friendly. Looking forward to a repeat visit.
