Visited here for breakfast and what a delicious and different menu - spoilt for choice.As well as the regular menu there were several tempting specials. The food is to die for - beautifully presented and so fresh and tasty with all lovely local products. The place is so quirky with lovely views over the beach. The staff were fantastic warm and welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Will definitely be back soon it is a 'wee gem'- maybe lunch the next time!!!!

Arrived early and welcomed. Continual top ups of filter coffee while I waited. Lovely different menu. We had sweet potato chickpea and spinach curry (gorgeous) and eggs Benedict which was great. Loaded with smoked salmon. We sat chatting for 2 1/2 hours and weren't bothered by staff but were attended to promptly when needed. Small cafe off the High St but well worth a visit. Delightful ambience and great varied menu. Very reasonable prices too. The cakes/scones etc looked amazing but we didn't try them. Will definitely go back.

Popped in for coffee and traybakes. We loved the Rice Krispie Mars traybake especially. Not many places use proper good branded chocolate now, but thankfully the Guillemot still use good chocolate. A very busy wee place, but worth the wait

This Cafe is a great place for breakfast. Everything is freshly cooked and unlike other Cafes in the area itâs properly cooked no under cooked eggs or bread here. The last time we went to the Pitstop the fry was inedible, and expensive, so Iâm glad we found Brambles. The only downside is it needs to move to larger premises.

Had a burger for £7.79, supposedly Italian themed. Goats' cheese, relish, onion rings and a small bit of salad with it. It was fine. The chips were good. Water came from a tap in a little sink. The place was noisy, even upstairs. I had a stool that you could spin the seat to adjust it up or down, but that made it shriek dreadfully. Great views from the upstairs windows of the town clock and fountain across the road. The service was very good.

Attended today with my mother-in-law. Meal was very disappointing. I would point out that this is my favourite restaurant for breakfast/lunch in Bangor. Always the one I suggest. Today we had a very disappointing lunch. However, upon reflection I wish to comment and concentrate on the owner rather than the food. She noticed a plate of food left, she sent someone to enquire if there was a problem, she came to us directly to discuss, she insisting on no charge, she cared. Today we were disappointed with food, but I haven't been able to stop thinking about how it was dealt with. We didn't need to complain, it was picked up and detected by the owner herself, it was addressed and it was taken on board. I have always loved this restaurant and I totally respect the owner for her attention to detail. Her business is busy because of her attention to detail and normally great food. I suppose that's what caused disappointment today, this place normally delivers on quality food. Although we feel that wasn't the case today, the quality of service today was valued and precious.

Visited for breakfast, my sister recommended this place. Breakfast was beautiful, freshly prepared, free top ups of coffee. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Will definitely call again.

I have been several times for breakfast and the place is always busy which is a good sign. The food offering is quite different to what is usually on offer in N. Ireland cafes and I mean this in a very positive way! The service is very friendly and efficient and the food is tasty and well presented. There is also a Guillemot deli/cafe next door which does take away food. If youâre in Bangor this is a great place for coffee, breakfast, lunch or a naughty sweet treat!
