Peaceful, beautiful place

Because we were the only guests (the first of January Gardenia was closed) we could enjoy the garden and the peaceful environment even more. The owner, who is super kind, invited us to celebrate new years eve together and we had a great meal together. Thank you Gardenia for creating an amazing memory for my family!

Lovely stay, excellent staff
Reviewed By backpacker_evWe booked one night at AirBnB. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good. They had a wide choice from different dishes. From european breakfast up to traditional indonesian food. The room is equipped with everything you need (water/tea, slippers, towels, soap and even a toothbrush!). The bed is very big and comfortably. The bathroom is tiny but everything worked well. We’ll definitely stay here again. :)

Reviewed By skatenurseThe rooms are clean, clean crisp sheets. Bathroom clean with western toilet, shower head and a small sink. Rooms have open closets, counter space and desk space. There is lots of lighting- this place is more modern than other places I have stayed in Indonesia. The lobby is quirky and fun, but there aren't really common areas for travelers, as it's more of a hotel vibe than a guesthouse. It's a quiet place. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The 4 Fish is a small but cosy guesthouse just 18km north of Manado. 30 Min drive from Manado airport. Including the price is breakfast and dinner. The dinner from our chef Nona is very good. We have 7 rooms in totale 2 have AC max. 2 Persons and a family room max 4 persons The main activity here is Scuba diving around Bunaken island and the coastline. The underwater world is just amazing here.! We organize all kinds of diving and divecourses to learn diving. Tours in to the highland, national park tangkoko are also possible. You like to explore the area by yourself. Just rent one of our motorbike, (automatic) and of you go. Enjoy the fun!

Disgusting and dangerous (fire hazards)
Reviewed By MelimeloParisI'm used to budget hotels but this is without doubt the WORST hotel I've ever been to. The room smelt of cold tobacco and the "bathroom" reeked of urine. The sheets were stained. We only stayed there because it was too late to go anywhere else. The power went off during the night so the receptionist lit candles that he stuck randomly around the 3 store building - which in terms of fire-safety is probably the stupidest idea I've seen in a long time considering that there is only one narrow staircase and no windows. Judging from the melted wax on the stairs, this happens on a regular basis. On top of everything, we were woken up at 7 in the morning because they had construction workers banging on every walls. Do hope they were planning on bringing the whole place down.

Excellent stay for covid quarantine or for scuba diving
Reviewed By 931janicebMy husband and I spent our covid quarantine for 8 days in January, 2022 at Gangga. We had an excellent experience. The bungalow was beautiful, comfortable and clean. We were asked to stay in our bungalow during quarantine. The masked & gloved staff would bring 3 meals a day to our bungalow, where we ate on the porch. Clean linens were delivered per our request. When our quarantine period was over and we tested negative, we were able to use the beautiful pool area and beach. We extended our stay to do some scuba diving and it was FANTASTIC. The food was top quality. The breakfast croissants are highly recommended. A special thank you to the manager, Chris, who personally helped us with some issues we encountered with government regulations and the airline.
