A little restaurant that serves a range of German dishes, pasta and salads. It's not a fancy place though the decor is pleasant enough, but it serves home-cooked style meals and generous portions. I'd recommend the mussels - you get a mountain of them so be sure you've got a hearty appetite. Their mixed grill platters are equally large.

We went for a meal here on Saturday and enjoyed ourselves. The staff were very friendly, the style and decor is kitschy and the place is clean. We ordered Hochzeit platter for two, it was good quality and more than we could eat (and we were hungry).With 2 large beers and 2 Cokes the bill was only 52 euro.We will return.

Ein schön gelegenes Haus (Nähe Universität und Zoo Duisburg. Innen etwas der Charme der 1950-1960 Jahre, aber überhaupt nicht störend, sondern auf eine ungekünstelte oder nur "gewollte" Art Gemühtlichkeit erzeugend. Essen à la carte, vier verschiedene Gerichte, jedes davon gut bis sehr, keine Defizite. Sehr schnelle, sehr professionelle, gute und freundliche Bedienung eiines etwas ältern Obers.Weinauswahl ettc. ordentlich, Toiletten etc. sauber; es stimmte alles - und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis übrigens auch.Empfelenswert biis sehr empfehlenswert

Maredo is a restaurant chain in Germany - the first restaurants opened in the 60s and they are still going strong. This is not a place for a romantic dinner for two - it is part of the Rhein - Ruhr shopping centre, it's a good place to rest tired feet and to get a square meal, the portions are very generous.Maredo are steak houses and there is a wide choice of meat, there are some fish dishes on the menu but essentially this is a place for carnivores. We enjoyed an excellent filet steak. There is a self service salad bar with a wide choice of vegetables, salads and dressings to create your own starter. We didn't manage a dessert. The service was efficient and friendly and the prices are moderate.
