I visit Remscheid on a regular basis & staying in the same hotels you soon get bored with the menus. Thankfully I found the Himalaya & what a find. The staff are friendly & courteous me not speaking German & them not speaking any English but we manage to understand one another. There is a selection of raw ingredients meat, fish & veg which the chef will cook for you on the teppanyaki grill with or without a sauce of your choice & there are several to choose from. Then there is a selection of cooked Chinese dishes to choose from including Duck, Pork, Beef & Chicken. The containers are quite small but that means that they are filled frequently with fresh food. Sushi, Fruits, Ice Cream & a Chocolate Fountain are also available.I have lost count of the number of times that I have visited & the number of colleagues that I have taken there & nobody has nothing other than good comments to make.I will be back as often as I continue to travel to Remscheid.

Im Keller des wuchtigen Remscheider Rathauses befindet sich ein Asia-Restaurant. Es gibt das übliche AYCE-Angebot, das Büffet liegt je nach Tageszeit zwischen 8,80 und 15,80 Euro, abends dann auch mit Teppanyaki-Grill.Wir sind zum Mittagsbuffet dort. Die Qualität ist, gemessen an vergleichbaren Angeboten, sehr gut. Alles ist warm und wird zeitnah nachgefüllt. Sushi-Liebhaber werden, wie bei solchen Buffets üblich, nicht glücklich werden. Aber das ist ja auch nicht der Anspruch des Lokals ;)

Seit vielen Jahren haben wir hier insbesondere unsere Thai Curry etc gekauft und auch liefern lassen und waren eigentlich (fast) immer zufrieden. Leider hat sich das in den letzten Monaten zum Nachteil geändert: die Saucen werde jetzt - wenig authentisch- viel zu dick- bzw. zähflüssig zubereitet, das Gemüse ist nicht mehr so frisch und knackig, wie früher, Bestellungen werden falsch ausgeführt, da man nicht richtig am Telefon verstanden wird... Schade eigentlich, aber vielleicht wird es irgendwann wieder besser!
