Five of us ate here on a Friday night, (It is only small and bookings are essential). All of us enjoyed our steaks. I had the Brochet which is 4 cuts of the finest steak and it was well worth the 36 euros. We didn't find this final bill that expensive compared to other places we ate in Dusseldorf, so do feel this quality restaurant is value for money.

We had the most wonderful food and wine at this restaurant. It doesn't look anything special from the inside, however once you venture into the restaurant itself you'll be treated to a fantastic choice of food and wine. If we ever return to Dusseldorf, we will most certainly returning to El Lazo. Please do try it if you like good quality steak and a nice choice of wine.

The staff and food were very good, but since you can easily pay 50-70 ⬠per person, there are a few things they could consider to further improve the customer experience. First, consider an English menu for us tourists. I understand the clients are mainly Asian or local, but Düsseldorf is cosmopolitan enough to quantify it. Second, consider some menu options for the inexperienced. You have a special menu and set up and someone who has never done this could use a bit of guidance. We also observed a table being prepared and the handling of the wooden chop sticks could be better. Like a fork or knife, these are meant to handle food and are not just some decoration at the table. Hygienic rules should apply.
