I had two meals here recently. The Duffel specialises in potato meals. There is a view across the valley. The food was of a high quality and wines were also good. I recommend the asparagus. Best place I have eaten in Siegen.

Another safe shot in Siegen,Always open, breakfast until 12 pm brunch on sunday.The best the schnitzel ( breaded pork steak) the Texas star it's like a burger but in a bread ( brötchen ) with a bbq sauce. A few waiters speak English all of them young people. Reserve in advance it's very popular if you want to go on a rush hour. Service good.Good parking area

First things first: this place belongs to a chain. Having said that, it is a great place to be. The seating is divided into different themes with different kind of furniture. Food, especially finger food, is delicious, the drinks are well done, and there is patio seating is very comfy ...On weekends it is a very crowded place with guests of all ages ... a nice place to get in touch with others, have fun and enjoy the Happy Hour (until 9pm).Drawbacks: be patient with the waiters, order double to stay happy ;-)

Round the corner from the Holiday Inn Express, we were directed to this traditional restaurant. Great food and atmosphere as we were sat in the Beer Garden which was packed. Good wine, good beer along with great food and service at a really good price! What's not to like

Wir waren sehr früh an einem Freitag dort (Ca.18:15) und durften das Buffet eröffnen. Es war reichlich aufgetischt und die meisten Speisen waren nach unserem Eindruck frisch zubereitet. Brot, Salat, Pesto, Fisch und Fleischgerichte. Einiges war total lecker, anderes traf nicht so unseren Geschmack aber so ist das bei einem Buffet. Personal war durchweg klasse, nett, zuvorkommend dennoch unaufdringlich! Ambiente ist sauber und unspektakulär. Restaurant bekommt eine klare Empfehlung von uns!

Well, this is one of the oldest "student bars" in Siegen. The beer is excellent, the food is great, the prices are moderate ... you will enjoy a wonderful time. You can chose between the old part with country-style furnishing, and the new part with modern style seating. However, the old part is much more fun and you will get easily into contact with the local people.Nevertheless, parking is a hassle as this place is very famous to be ... ;-)

Now, this is a very classy bar and restaurant to stay. You will enjoy a great atmosphere, easy going people, excellent food, and even better beer! Beware: the first beer will not be your last beer .... for a larger party, you should make a reservation. PS: if you are in town during a major soccer game, this is the place to enjoy German hospitality and Soccer Madness! ;-)

Dieses Café liegt auf dem Schlossberg im hübschen Freudenberg, doch das Café war architektonisch kein Hingucker. Es wird eine günstige Mittagskarte angeboten, sehr überschaubar. Einige Sorten Kuchen konnte man auf der Auslage sehen, auch nichts Ãberwältigendes. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Die Gaststube wirkte im Ganzen etwas dunkel, dazu die dunkle Inneneinrichtung, aber es hat eine sehr schöne Deckenlampe. Wir bekamen schnell unsere HeiÃgetränke, leider war der Kakao geschmacklich etwas dünn und die Sahne schmeckte nach Sprühsahne, schade.
