Reviewed By Liz JThe room we had was a larger room with two beds and far exceeded our expectations , clean well appointed and spacious . Our hosts were amazing. Organising meals at different times taking us to attractions and dropping us off at train station at the end of our stay. Would highly recommend. Super friendly and very knowledgeable. Food was delicious .The happy water was a nice touch at Dinner times. We ate all meals over the three days in the cosy restaurant .

Reviewed By 861kristincThe accommodation was comfortable and extremely clean. The owner is very lovely and hospitable. She made sure we were always okay and enjoying ourselves. For breakfast, we got eggs, bread and homemade pineapple jam which were all delicious. She has a BBQ and speaker she offered to us. I will definitely stay here whenever I visit Ninh Binh.

Reviewed By D4631BVcathycThis is our second trip to Vietnam, and, while that definitely does not make us experts, we have visited a number of places and stayed in a variety of lodgings. This, by far, has been our favorite. Our hosts and their children have been so kind and welcoming. The daughter plays piano in the evenings, and it’s beautiful to listen from the patio of our bungalow. Nearby attractions, UNESCO World Heritage sites, at Trang An and Tam Coc, are accessible by bike (free from the Homestay). But the genuine joy of the places lies in just being here. The landscape is stunning, the private bungalows charming, and the food (OMG the food!) is the best we’ve had in any fancy restaurant or on any street. Fresh ingredients are gathered from local farmers — duck eggs, bananas, vegetables, chicken — the taste of all so full of flavor and delicious. Our hosts do not advertise this as ecotourism, but we believe it definitely qualifies. Staying here is authentically life in Vietnam. And it is very good!

Very welcoming owner, decent value and good location for cycling
Reviewed By Si KOverall, a comfortable room for the price. I spent only one night and had one day to see Ninh Binh before taking the night train, so the owner was kind enough to allow me to shower after my day out exploring before my night train. I recommend staying here in the town rather than Tam Coc or Trang An if you only have limited time and are traveling by bus or train, as this hotel is only VD 20,000 grab ride to the train and bus stations and the sights are easily reached by bicycle from the city itself, at least in the cool weather of winter. One reason I didn't give full 5 stars is because the price of bicycle is quite expensive (VD 100,000) considering the quality of the bike. In other cities I've rented bicycle for only 20,000 VD per day. I think guests should get bike for at least have the price (maybe 50,000). Overall, good clean hotel with a nice breakfast, home made pineapple jam and nice bread, omelette, and fresh fruit. Very quiet when I visited, and room has both AC and fan, so you can use fan to create white noise if you are a light sleeper like me.

The hosts are all super nice and very helpful. The first day we were given an A4 sheet with super useful information (map, restaurants, phrases). The location is a 10 minute ride from tam coc. Motorbikes and bicycles can be rent out for little money.

Reviewed By F3825CVbenaThis is an amazing place to spend a couple of nights. We travelled from noisy Hanoi by coach and a taxi took us to the homestay. It's about 2 km inwards from the main road. when we got there we were amazed to see such a beautiful serene view with the lake and surrounding mountains. There are about 9 to 10 bamboo huts along the lakeside. We were given a warm welcome by the family and after checking us in, we were shown to our hut. The hut made out of bamboo looked basic from the outside but the inside had 2 large comfy beds with mosquito nets, mini fridge and kettle. There was a porch facing the lake, which is overlooked by mountains. It is a secluded place with couple of hammocks to relax on. After noisy Hanoi it was great to have the peace and quiet. We enjoyed the local food cooked by the family. Our stay came with breakfast, which was tasty. The bicycles were free to do site seeing. There was a snooker table and a TV for entertainment in the main reception area. It had exceeded our expectations as well as the family being so friendly, accommodating and welcoming. I would highly recommend this homestay as part of your tour plans in Vietnam.

Reviewed By gitteortvedbHad a nice weekend at Nan House. Its clean, nicely decorated rooms, clean pool and lush and green garden. The owner Ms Hà speaks English and extremely helpful. She arranged the transport from Hanoi for me. Free bikes at the hotel and only a short ride to both Tâm Coc and Mua cave. Highly recommended!

Reviewed By 97lilyjCannot recommend this hotel enough!! The family who runs it is so so kind and really makes you feel welcome and cared for. Such happy and caring individuals. The breakfast was delicious and all the restaurants they recommended were good too! They have both bicycles and scooters to rent for transportation, but also it is within walking distance of a lot of restaurants and some activities. We hired drivers for a day trip and cannot recommend enough! The room was super nice and our last night we got to all eat dinner together which was so sweet. A must stay!
