My wife reserached on famous Nagoya food that we had to try, and we visited this restaurant after our stroll in Atsuta Shrine area. We visited the restaurant about 4;30 pm and to no surprise, a long waiting queue already established. Staff politely informed us of about 30 min waiting time. The restaurant provided a small living room for waiting guests, quite decent anyway. The best part of it is the food itself. It was so good that brought us back twice on our trip. Strongly recommend if you like eel.

If you don't read japanese, this restaurant can be challenging. But we went for food , not for a conversation and the fact that we did not understand a word didn't matter to the hosts, who would explain carefully all the beauty of their food ( I suppose that was the subject of the speeches). Food is great, the local dish Hitsumabushi was the best I tried, soft and crispy at the same time , just perfect. We also got grilled chicken and veggies that was great for kids.( however they tried and loved the eels too). The place is very nice, simple , elegant. we were seated on the tatami, but with room for legs underneath the table, in a small private room. Very nice experience, service is quick and with a smile.

This is the original shop of the renowned restaurant which offers tasty eel grill rice and related dishes. As there are many visitors going to this restaurant, it requires early Reservations in front of the restaurant. Please go there to register first and come back about 1-2 hours later.
While the price is slight on the high side, the food and grill eel are very tasty and nicely presented. Really worth for the wait and money.

Cheap version of private dining, literally each person has their own private "booth" so you can't see your neighbours. It's a small place but patrons eat quickly since it's not very comfortably seated. The fun part is in filling up the form on the choices and ingredients for your noodles. The soup is absolutely delicious that I ordered an additional portion. Prices are very affordable 790 yen for regular bowl 980 yen for large bowl and 120yen for extras like egg, seaweed, mushroom etc. there's always a queue but it moves fast. Cash only.

Was intrigued by the good comment from fellow travelers. Queue was short (about 8 people ahead of us) but it still took about a 20 minutes, which was considerably shorter then most other reviewers.
Orders were placed quickly and the wait was worth it. The combination of the unagi, rice , sauce and condiments were amazing! Excellent stuff and well worth every cent and time spent queuing. Try it and you'll know why :)

I don't like to eat eel but my friend loves this place and we were extremely hungry so I settled. We had 1x order of charcoal eel bento 1x regular seasoned eel bento 1x eel egg roll and 1x eel liver. Costed us Japanese yen $7700 ish. A little pricy I must say, the food tastes alright but the service was excellent.

A friend decided on this place to have a group of friends meet for dinner. Service was very good and quick enough for the busy restaurant. The owner is Itslian and speaks Italian.
The atmosphere was pleasant and warm. Since we were a large group we were able to have a big enough space for us. Not always possible for a restaurant in this area.
I am bias when it comes to pizza. I like North American style: lots of meat, thick crust and large. This place serves the authentic style Italiam pizza. So I'll say the quality of the pizza was very good and the taste was as it should be. One pizza was pricy but sufficient for my appetite.
The pasta was very good. We shared a pasta with ham and egg in it and was more than happy with the taste.
While I love thick North American pizza I can see the reason for people coming here. Quick
friendly service, good quality and tasty food. I would recommend for the authentic Italian food experience.

We were early for meeting. Komeda Coffee is just nearby. The cafe provides full service with mid age house wife as waitress. Extremely considerate and polite. We have so many Laptop bags and etc so the waitress rearrange us to an isolated section. ¥400 for a cup of coffee with toast and boil egg.
STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

On Tuesday, I went to the restaurant on 11:00 a.m.
And get the queue time on 12:00 for lunch. It seem to wait around 1 hour.(if you come to restaurant it seem you will have lunch queue around 13:00^^)
So we had to walk around to nearby small supermarket to kill time.
We order famous eel set that was delicious with charcoal aroma. For me it is worth to wait 1hour to eat here. I am happy^^

It is a Taiwanese restaurant where you can eat Taiwanese ramen which is one of the topics in Nagoya. Despite this restaurant has 2 floors, open space and many seat, is crowded every day. It may be because the popularity of this restaurant and the low price of each dish.
Taiwanese ramen is a popular menu, but I think that there is no dish that can be excellent. Many dishes may be addictive, in addition to being spicy. Taiwanese ramen of Misen has itself become a brand, it is sold for home cooking.
You may feel that the service at the restaurant is a bit slapdash. The dish care is halfway, when dishes are served, you may feel that the dishes are clammy. But some people will be tolerable. Because they have to cope with many orders and dishes quickly.
