I have to admit I was very impressed with the "Restaurant Astoria" in Nikolaev, Ukraine. The interior has a classic feel and there is a separate room with an open fire. They serve European as well as food including, charcoal grilled dishes, meat, fish and even vegetarian meals. The food was beautifully presented and at just over $30 for two people, including drinks, represented incredible value. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Nikolaev.

It is placed within the Hotel structure, we wouldn't expect much, but the final impression is very good. There is a wide and interesting wine list, you may have a very good fish, good meat, and everything is unexpensive.The service is fresh and good, and the place is cozy and warm.If you are here around don't miss to come to taste the fish soup, although there is a bunch of garlic in the suop taking over the responsibility of the good taste.
