We were a table of 9. Drinks order was taken and served in reasonable good time. We were then asked re. the ordering of the food. Again, order was taken and food served in reasonable time. Quality of food good, and service as well. To be repeated.

Visited this restaurant with my wife and found the reviews given in the past are by and large very accurate. Could do perhaps with more staff on a busy night and the decor needs sprucing up a notch or two (hence why not 5*) but otherwise the hospitality and food were very acceptable. Recommended.

Situated on the roof terrace of a hotel, Antonine Al Fresco has an enviable spot. You look out on to Mellieha's beautiful cathedral and over to the bay which is spectacular. To start, I had the tempura vegetables which were amazing. A colourful mix of vegetables in a light and crisp tempura batter, it tasted fresh and delicious.I followed this with a wonderful vegetable red thai curry. It had just the right level of heat and contained a nice mix of fresh vegetables, making a warming dish. This all surrounded by the most amazing views in town.The service was attentive and helpful and probably amongst the best we experienced in Malta.We had a lovely meal here with some delicious and authentic Thai food, which also made a nice change to all of the Mediterranean restaurants around. If you fancy something a bit different while you are in Malta and don't mind heights, this place is excellent.
