A pan-asia type restaurant with quality and variety on the menu. We have been coming here periodically over the last few years and will keep coming as we have some favorite dishes and many yet to be sampled. Flavours are distinct and varied. Thai tamarind fish fillet is a more authentic sweet and sour dish. Full range of good quality Japanese sushi. Kobe beef combo is available. LLBO licensed. Their service is friendly and competent. A neighborhood gem to be sure. They are a fairly small operation so they lack a private party room but can handle a group of 10-12 for celebrations by arranging tables. Most of the seating is booth style.

I visited Hakka Legend for lunch after recently receiving a recommendation to try it and a craving for Pad Thai!The decor was appropriately Asian themed but not overwhelming.It was virtually empty for my visit which was surprising because their lunch special prices are fantastic! $7.95 for a spring roll or soup and choice of main from a large selection! I started with an app, the Chicken Pakora , which I planned to sample and bring home for my son for dinner; it looked great on the menu and was equally great in taste! The spices they used for it had a pleasant aroma almost sweet yet the app itself was actually more on the spicy spectrum.My main course was of course Pad Thai and it was great! Not dry like Iâve been noticing at a lot of other places Iâve been to lately, saucy and flavourful. My spring roll was as great. Canât put my finger on why I just didnât enjoy it as much as I usually enjoy spring rolls.Service was quick and pleasant.They only take debit or cash for orders under $25 and I almost took a mark off my review for this because I tried to pay with credit initially. I didnât though because on my way out I made sure to look and they do in fact have clearly posted their minimum purchase requirement to use credit on their door on the way in.

My wife and I had a sit down meal here with two appetizers and two entrees, diet cokes and the total was under $30. The service was good, the food excellent. It is very sparse, but the cuisine more than makes up for it.
