When we saw the “pasta Alfredo” on the sign we should’ve run out of there but we were to tired to care. Pasta is ok but it’s not authentic Italian. Would rather spend an extra 5 euros for real Roman food.

Almost at the end of 3 weeks in Italy and this is top shelf. We asked about the name and they explained how you won’t forget the pizza ... 100% correct. Thin base and super crusty. Toppings were sensational. Staff friendly. Best wine we’ve drunk! Make sure you get there.

I Pizzicaroli

During our recent trip to Rome, I let my husband select a place for dinner on Father’s Day. He chose I Pizzicaroli- a small, quaint and casual place with limited seating inside and out. They put together a fabulous basket of cheeses and meats from small family farms in Umbria and Abruzzo. The basket also included fresh breads, interesting spreads, olives, etc... Plus, we ordered some porchetta which came warm on a board with fresh bread once again. Wine and beer completed our meal. It was all SO GOOD and the experience was very relaxing! If you’re looking for something casual other than pasta and pizza, this is the place! The staff were really nice too.It was a pleasure to serve you,we hope to see you again!I Pizzicaroli

We found this place after a few drinks in Trastevere and I’m glad we did! Best wine bar we visited during our trip. We shared a meet and cheese platter and a bottle of wine. All of the meats and cheeses were explained to us and every one was perfect. At the end of our meal we asked for a limoncello only to find they had none in so one of the guys ran across the road to a nearby bar and brought two ice cold limoncellos for us for free! Very welcoming staff and amazing food.

It’s a perfect place for the people who like tasty sandwiches with fresh ingredients cooked fast. To be well satisfied be sure that your wishes are transferred to the barman before you got the order;) we came here on the October 17-th, 2019 expecting it’s a fastfood and was not disappointed! It was the best panini ever (Parma and Modena, coka cola and beer - €14 in total for two persons). The barman was very positive and friendly, he take care of you needs cooking from the heart and his please keeping it clean. At the end we’ve got a compliment from the barman and I would say that it is one of the thing needs to be tasted. Do not listen feedbacks from the people who visited this place thinking it’s a restaurant and was disappointed! I recommend.

Pane e Salame

Heard about Pane & Salame from friends who visited there previously and it definitely did not disappoint. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table to open up but we had the option of ordering at the counter if we wanted. We waited for a table and it was well worth it! We ordered a mixed board, 2 incredible sandwiches, water, and wine for lunch. Probably the best sandwich I have ever eaten! What I appreciated most was how everyone that worked there worked together as a team to ensure every consumer had a great experience. Would definitely recommend and well worth the wait for a table if you want to sit. Very cute decor inside as well.

Had lunch here several times over the last couple of years. Worth the little walk from Piazza Navona - also the site where Julius Caesar was killed is just five minutes down the road (now a stray cat sanctuary). The food here is amazing and homemade by the owner. You can really see the love and attention he puts into every dish and customer. Highly recommend and even better the locals are always in so you know you’re getting the real Italian experience!
