Our dinner here was superior, and made all the more so by staff that was attentive and personable. There was not a morsel left of the steak and lobster or the daily risotto special; my husband enjoyed his oysters thoroughly, and the wine list was comprehensive. My daughter had just graduated college, and the staff made a big deal of celebrating it, capping off what was otherwise just a delightful meal.Dear GarlowFamily, Thank you for taking the time to share your review. The famous bbq extravaganza is back this year. With growling stomach and planning was the second group seated! So far so good. The custom made smoker from Montreal was working hard and my anticipation grew. But no familiar figure wielding 2 foot long tongs.Sadly none of the staff even recognized Arty's name, let along knew of his skills. Sigh.The BBQ is still a full on spread, and the wine selection improved from last year. Salads were adequate, with the penne pasta salad enjoyed the most. Sides included heavenly mac and cheese. Eight proteins on deck. Once again, I enjoyed the salmon most. Second was the seafood paella.But the Master's touch was noticeably absent. Life evolves. Life goes on.

Our first problem was the access. I was unable to manage large flights of stairs and there was no elevator. The receptionist phoned up to the restaurant and one of the waitresses came to escort us up through the hotel. She was given an access card so we could access the elevator. We then went across and through the spa, across the roof area, past the pool and through the emergency exit. What a palaver.We were told they hoped to have direct access by next year.We had steak and shrimp, ribs and chicken and pistachio encrusted salmon between the three of us. It was magnificent. No room for anything else but the meal was very good.
