Payta came highly recommended by locals and I was not disappointed. The three story Peruvian Restaurant/Pisco Bar has excellent seafood and meat dishes that easily ranked among the best that could be found in Antofagasta, Chile.The restaurant overlooked the Pacific Ocean and provided patrons excellent views while dining.The only down side to non-Spanish speakers is that the staff and menus were not available in English. With that said, I was able to figure out what I wanted and was not disappointed with the food and service I received.If you are in the area, Payta should be one of the places you visit.

It's mostly a seafood restaurant. Service is excellent. Food is always reliable. Good wine selection. Plenty of fresh seafood options. Good desserts. I've never had a bad meal here. It is also one of the more expensive restaurants in town as well.

The service is quick and accurate, the place is very clean and consists of three areas: along the street, opposite to the bar and a fairly quiet patio deep inside. A menu is doubled in English, good starters that include freshly baked bread, good selection of beverages (including non-alcoholic ones) and postres, friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

There is nothing that is below or above average in this Peruvian style restaurant: the interior, the service, the location along the main road near the seaside. It serves good pisco sours, good ceviche, and correct Peruvian dishes. But in the city of Antofagasta it maybe considered to be one of the better restaurants.

The atmosphere was pleasant, the seafood was fresh and well cooked. The presentation was simple; choose the fish variety, then choose the side dish - salad, potatoes, etc. Our waitress was kind, and spoke english, which made it easy for us. An excellent experience.

By far the best meal you will have in Antofagasta! The service, the food is all incredible. Delicious Pisco sours - but be careful they are strong. Delicious seafood. Cost for three with drinks and well deserved tip: 90000 CP
